we can only hope....still, if there is a win it will be a hollow victory. plus if BD win against a 2nd string team no one will consider it a true test victory. on one hand it's a good chance for the boys to get some much needed confidence in test cricket, unfortunately though WI is one of the teams closest to BD when at full strength and it was one of the real chances BD had of winning a series against test quality opposition (though no doubt if BD was to win against a test quality side the others would say it was a fluke or the opposition are in a drought of test quality players atm).

i want to see some centuries in this match from the BD boys.

Not only him. Everyone, including we fans, medias and all others will say the same.

But for that to happen, we have to win first.

These players are pretty good FC players. Still stronger than Bangladesh Team. It won't be that easy to bat against Austin and Roach. Austin (Spinner) was the highest wicket taker in the FC league.

In other words it would be an even keel.
Not much difference in terms of test matches except Chanderpaul (only recent performance considered)

This is a sad commentary on the state of once proud WI cricket. Can you believe this happening under Clive Lloyd? Not good.

I think Ashraful will throw away his wicket tomorrow, he's a very jealous guy he wouldn't want Mash to be the one to beat West Indies as earlier in his interview he mentioned he wants to lead Bangladesh again which I hope I never come to see.

But the bulk of players are debutants with only regional cricket experience including Brathwaite who was flown in from a regional under-19 tournament in Jamaica.

Bangladesh shouldn't take this 2nd team lightly, effectively both teams are now equal (stats wise)
I did some research on Cricinfo looking at the first class stats of both teams

West Indies Batsman Bangladesh Batsman
Omar Phillips- 653 @ 32.65 Shakib al Hasan- 2005 @ 33.41
Dale Richards- 2600 @ 38.23 Imrul Kayes- 1217- 28.97
Floyd Reifer- 6689 @ 35.02 Junaid Siddique- 1321 @ 24.01
Travis Dowlin- 3259 @ 29.62 Mahmudullah- 2151 @ 35.85
Chadwick Walton- 761 @ 26.24 Mehrab Hossain jnr- 2084 @ 32.06
Andre Creary- 17 @ 17.00 Mohammad Ashraful- 4908 @ 29.21
Kraigg Brathwaite- 137 @ 34.25 Mushfiqur Rahim- 1519 @ 28.66
David Bernard- 3073 @ 27.19 Raqibul Hasan- 1719 @ 35.81
Saghir Hossain- 2184 @ 24.53
Tamim Iqbal- 1839 @ 35.36

West Indies Bowlers Bangladesh Bowlers
Darren Sammy- 128 @ 26.58 Mashrafe Mortaza- 121 @ 35.59
Kemar Roach- 35 @ 34.94 Shakib al Hasan- 89 @ 31.35
Ryan Austin- 152 @ 25.86 Enamul Haque jnr- 232 @ 30.56
Tino Best- 202 @ 26.20 Mahbubul Alam- 77 @ 26.72
Kevin McClean- 39 @ 22.02 Mahmudullah- 44 @ 33.25
Nelon Pascal- 47 @ 31.89 Shahadat Hossain- 111 @ 36.60
Nikita Miller- 141 @ 19.31 Rubel Hossain- 20 @ 48.80
David Bernard- 124 @ 29.98

So, as you can see the first class stats of the West Indies players are nothing to be ashamed of, however they are very inexperienced with many of them not playing in a test yet. Hopefully Bangladesh take this opportunity and don't waste it and record their second test victory and first away from home.

They are heavily experienced with quality first class cricket, if they consider home ground in familiar conditions you don't know where this match might end up.
