A very smart man.
Knows how to get things done in this country.

But he gotta be careful at the same time. These people may be not be the most professional and efficient, but they are very good at playing blame game and saving their own back. The moment they realise he is exposing their fault lines, they'd try to get rid of him, irrespective of how good he is.

Not so much on fire at the moment!!

Players apparently revolted with Dido and left the camp.
Dido says he wont take them back in!!

Hope things would cool off within a couple of days....read the following news from
www.BDnews24.com
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

8 nat`l booters walk out of Dido camp

Dhaka, July 25 (bdnews24.com) The Bangladesh Football Federationon Saturday failed to deliver a decision after eight national footballers refused to practice in the afternoon on Thursday under Brazilian coach Edson Silva Dido.

Following the players' refusal, the National Team Management Committee headed by BFF vice-president Badal Roy had several meetings with the coach and the revolting players for almost six hours at BFF House on Saturday.

"The national camp will remain suspended for the next two days and Dido will let us know his stance in a couple of days," Roy told bdnews24.com after having a third meeting with the Brazilian, who had earlier recommended for those players who refused to practice to be dismissed.

Dido met the NTMC members soon after captain Aminul Haq repented for their mistakes and wanted a couple of days to let the committee know his decision.

"After a second meeting with the players, they repented for their mistakes and they promised us that they clear up everything after talking to the coach as they were not angry with him," the BFF vice-president told reporters.

The revolt began during Thursday's second session when defender Rajani Kanta Barman repeatedly refused to continue running round the ground citing his tiredness and so the Brazilian coach asked him to leave the camp forever.

Dido, who took charge on January 31 this year, then asked who else wanted to leave the camp and midfielders Arman Aziz, Jahed Parvez Chowdhury and Jahid Hasan, defenders Wali Faisal, Arif Hossain and Mozzamel Hossain Saikat and striker Jahid Hasan Emily followed Rajani by walking out.

Eight players also skipped the swimming session on Friday before all players were released for weekly vacation after lunch.

Rajani informed Badal Roy of the situation and the NTMC chairman asked him not to leave the camp and reported him on Saturday along with other players.

Roy admitted that the players broke the disciplines after not completing the scheduled time on Thursday and they would not compromise with the training schedule as they were advancing to a target and the players had earlier given an idea about the training.

The former national footballer, however, said that after having talked with both parties they felt the players were really tired and it was normal to feel that way during high performance training.

"I can't understand why the players took such a decision as the slightly modified training schedule is similar to what the players did during the time of coach Andres Cruciani," Argentine fitness trainer Ariel Colman told bdnews24.com.

Asked whether he would allow those players to return to training, Dido's reply was "no".

Meanwhile, the 31 footballers went to Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan on July 13 for eight week's training after a three-week conditioning camp at Cox'z Bazar.

haire... professional footballers... these things should not be allowed... players cannot do with this with the coach. BFF will either lose the coach or the players. most probably coach is leaving as some of the officials are not very happy with him either.

Dido's doing the right thing by not letting these lazy and unprofessional butts play. We seriously need to increase the fitness of our national soccer players but it seems that most of them do not want to do that, they would rather eat bhaat 4 times a day.

Similar things have happened before. Once we had an English coach (Mark something?) who tried to change our game and help us play attacking football. He shuffled players' positions and although he got minimal returns, the players seemed to be happy and acknowledged that while it would take some time to adjust to Mark's tactics, it was worth it, if it meant that we would be scoring more often and giving some of the top Asian teams a run for their money.

The Football Federation, on the other hand, was indifferent to the coach's needs, who saw no hope and left. I don't know what the federation is trying to achieve with Dido here, but why doesn't everyone just leave football alone and let it die a natural death? There's no point trying to resurrect it. Well even resurrect isn't an appropriate word seeing that we always sucked at this sport - being the top of the crop among the weakest group of teams in the world doesn't mean anything.

Otto Fister was a good coach. The Argentine physio said nothing serious.
Rojoni is one of the dashing footballers. He should not be left out.

Dido at times pushing too hard - he needs to put time to understand our situation.

We already play in one the worst soccer playing regions on the planet. South Asian soccer is somewhere between a bad joke and utterly pitiful. NO team from the region is ever likely to win the Asian Cup. In fact, most of the teams from here don't even make it to that event. The World Cup? Hell will freeze over first!

Now we have our shite players, none capable of running for more than 15 minutes, or passing accurately, or controlling the ball closely, or finishing well, are "rebelling" against Dido! A man trying to get them match fit! Pushing hard is exactly what is required!

Screw these useless morons! Screw the Habamoni-Mohamodon nostalgia! Since we're not willing to put up, lets shut the F up! Gimps don't play soccer.

Rajani: Weak, always sullen and king bitch of all the bitchfesting whiners. The ability to clear is his only "skill". Whenever he tries to to use his twerpish body to shield the ball, he gets pummeled as though hit by a truck. A Burmese truck. He is a tool!

Ameli (Emily from the French name Emile no doubt): With a woman's nick and খ্যাতামি to match, this useless piece of **** scores a goal for every 10 open nets he misses. He is a tool and a ******bag!

Their chamchas: Can all go to hell. Salahuddin should ban these pathetic excuses for soccer players for life.

I know a Bangladeshi who played soccer for his high school team in Paris, and later for USF in the NCAA. ASP won the ISST Western Europe in 85 and 86 and USF was nationally ranked in the Top 10 at the time. In both places, running, not just lapping, the 5K before a 90 minute practice match was mere warm up. Then there were drills, set plays, weight training, and taking 100s of shots on goal before back to back weekend matches.

I completely agree that this players should not be allowed to play. I am with the coach as he made the right decision against these players. if you cannot practice, you should not be in the team.
I played in varsity soccer in mu high school. and even in HS, we ran 1.5 miles to a practice field from my school and then did the drills and everything. so, these players, being national players, should be able to continually practice no matter what. I am sure the coach is aware that these practices are doable or else he wouldn't ask them to do it. and the idea of getting better is to keep pushing your limits every time you practice. I say kick these whiners out and bring in people that can practice and able to get better, and not whine like little girls, claiming that they did no wrong.

Right on bro! Reading PA today, I was disgusted to look at comments made by some of our old "footballers", not much better themselves in terms of skill, strength, speed, stamina and sense with regards to the modern game. These club soccer Gorus, having made their money from illicitly made club revenue, read black money, illegal gambling, drugs. alcohol, and prostitution including child prostitution rackets defining their evening activities in whatever club -- are defending some sort of bizarre fraternity here.

They're copping a quasi political "compromising" attitude in order to reinstate the players. The lame @$$ed apology and ridiculously lamer fine should not be enough to put these useless and unfit underachievers back in a team trying to play International soccer.

Salahuddin gets back to Dhaka today and I hope he'll do the right thing.

I BET my bottom dollar that a team comprised entirely of NRBs in Europe and the US, and their children will beat these fools 6-0.

Be careful, or our own Rabz or Sydney, or whatever works for him, may give you the bug bite here.

Same problem with our coaches...we just never like them..and why should we...they make us sweat too much.

First it was Gordon, then Siddons, and now Dido. We just need a chacha figure like Whatmore or Barlowe with a toffee in his hands.

Dido wins again!! Good Move!! 2-0 so far.

Salauddin makes the players pay. One month of salary cut!! Now this is how you need to fix any issue in BD. Pocket books. I am 100% sure, all this not listening to coaches in BD cricket camp would stop as well with the performance based salary!!

http://www.bangladesherkhela.info/in...&editionID=750

Dido had a resignation letter in hand while meeting with Salauddin. He also had a plan to proceed with the lot, seperately, so that other players don't get "spoiled". I think he used this "spoiled" word. Then with discussing with Salauddin for the second time he would take those 8 players back in the squad.

Desh'a shidha anguley ghee uthey na.
