Quote:
Gazi Ashraf Hossain emphasised the need on increasing the batting depth in the Test squad.
"No doubt, this series victory boosted the players' confidence.
"Now we have to work on the batting side, especially on how to stay at the crease for longer periods. One way to do that is finding more batting-all-round cricketers, who can bowl a bit if needed," he said
Mone Hoi Nayeem-er kopal khulbey. They are losing trust on so called spcialized batsman. Team will be filled with few more batting alrounder.

Farhad, are you listening? Now that ICL fiasco is history, there may be opportunity for you also...

That's a very tough goal to achieve.

I'm not sure yet about how many series and matches we're gonna have next year first of all. And reiterating that these two wins should boost our confidence as well as making us keep in mind that other top teams won't be like this WI team. So we better keep our feet on the right place. Bcoz if we ride on Kilimanjaro without proper equipments, that means it's more likely that we're fall down and get our a$$es hurt (ambiguous example, i know; but you get my point?). So we wanna take it easy, expect good performances, then go from there. Well, we can keep it inside about winning the WC even; but let's not bring it out too many times.

Farhad has no chance for Test matches...

Only the player need the dedication to work hard and wait for the right opportunity.

if our operning bowlers continue to bowl like the way they did in last series, speically last TEST, then who knows, Lipu can co.l may decide to go with one specialized FB and one Alrounder who can ball fast enough like Farhad ( or someone like him)

This should be an aspiration rather than expectation. setting the bar too high can become a burden thus having a negative effect.

A better goal i feel is to draw much more matches against the top teams and sneak in a win here and there. we cannot continue losing like we have. if we draw 50% of our future matches and maybe win 10% that in itself will be a huge improvement.

I think we need to invite associates like IRE, CAN, KEN etc. for 4 day first class matches before our home test series' to keep the National team fresh. It should be our A team with some members of the national team who's performance is not up to par getting a chance to improve.

We play WI in ODI/T20, ZIM in ODI and then sit out September to watch the Champions Trophy.

We still can't play 5 sessions innings. We still flash at almost everything outside the off. Definitely go for pull anything above the chest high. These are risks that needs to be minimized before we can dream big. The small things matter. Since the local wkts don't produce bounce consistantly, the granite slab needs to be brought back in the middle of the pitch.

We needs seamers who can take wickets regularly to maintain a 0% losing record from now on. Unfortunately we are not there yet.

Good point...Let me rephrase it's gonna be very hard for Farhad to push himself in the Test squad. While writing this line he reminds me of Mushfiq babu. These two are same type of player, right?

Still remember his innings against ENG at BNS. I was in the gallery.

I like beating India more because of its association with BCCI and Lolit.

Yes similar as they both are all rounder. However comparison stops there. Farhad bowls much faster than Mushfiq Babu. I think the way Shahadat is bowling, Farhad may be faster than Shahadat and definitely was faster than Rasel before he joined ICL.

He he started playing for BD in ODI, his bowling was below par. But to everyone's surprised he dramatically impreoved his bolwing close to "above average" or "average but effective". Batting wise he is potentially much much better than Mushfiq Babu. You can compare his batting potential with Nayeem and Ryiad.

Farhad needs to work on his batting more. He was a good batsman before coming to national team but for some reason he lost all of it.

He has improved his bowling a lot. We saw that in Australia. He was bowling in 130K+. Shalar bhai keno je ICL e join korsilo ki jani.. He was a semi-regular bowler in ODIs. And he was always in the 15-member squad.

When he comes back, I would like to see him in the ODIs as the 3rd seamer. (Mash, Rasel & him).

In Tests, it will be difficult for him to play as we might always go with only 2 pacers and 2/3 spinners. If he has to play, he will replace a spinner, which is very unlikely.

Its historic no doubt.
But cant see we made a giant leap! We are still where we were............we are still CONSISTENTLY INCONSISTENT............unless we reconstruct our domestic cricket to international level, we will not get any players of that standard with consistency.

You grow a "GUAVA" tree, you will get "GUAVA" from it; dont expect "APPLE" from it!

Good win and i feel very happy for the team, but it shows terrible weakness in their batting, they cant even last 4 sessions, bat as if it is an ODI. I thought that against this weakened WI team, they could have batted for at least 5 sessions and post more than 400 runs. Disappointing batting performance, and a lost opportunity.

AUSTRALIA
SOUTH AFRICA

NB:

Explanation for South Africa: We have to visit SA when they are in a situation that they will move ranking 1 if they beat us. We have to remind them that each and every time and you know it is proven they break down on presser. Mushfiq will shut continuously from behind the wicket saying to the SA batters “Guys get the ranking 1, beat us, beat us J” (and oviously he will add those famous dialog ‘its coming’) and definitely SA players will be fallen on presser.fficeffice" />

Explanation about Australia: Since we already guessed that we goanna beat India and England, then I don’t see any reason why we couldn’t do it against Australia. Australia is no longer the best Test team any more, they are now under rebuilding process and we have to take that chance. Beside their confidence level is in lowest level now, so take a chance, and call SN who can score another century.

i guess forhad will get a chance for bouncy pitch condition in test match...........otherwise in dry pitch/flat wicket......it's all about spinners.....plus selectors should look for allrounders........having riyad and nayeem are bonus....bat korte pare plus bowlingeo pare.......ekta team e atleast 8 allrounders thakle r ki lage.......plus we need a damn good opener, and 1 down batsman..........it doesn't matter if he is from ICL or never got a chance in national team.......the only thing is that the batsman needs to be solid enough .......consistency thakte hobe.......
