Dude thanks for that. the problem with our record compared to theirs is that they had so much more draws than us when they started test cricket.

Something happened between this thread and another similar thread like this which has been opened earlier. MODS should merge both the threads.

Gayle and Co. might still not play, the squad has already been picked for the ODIs and I dont think that the board will go back on its word. I think Gayle and Co made themselves available for selection for the Champions Trophy.

If we win a single match against the main sight that would be enough for us.

I would have rather played the Test team... they desrrve it, and it's a shame for them to be dropped after performing fairly well.

Normally you can see at the left top of all the threads list, there is 'New Thread'. You can open it there. But I'm not sure if you need to achieve a specific number of post counts in order to be able to open a thread.

I voted for Good but I dont really agree with the reason mentioned in the poll. I dont care about any controversies. I just chose good because Bangladesh are not here to compete with second and third string sides. If we are to compete at the highest level, then we have to play against the international players and only then can we fairly assess our strengths and position. No point in scoring against school boys and living under the illusion that we are a great side.

This is a serious limitation of statistics. Bangladesh have played far more test matches than any other team before they registered an overseas win. Back then, there was far less cricket being played.

Yes, but we are talking about overseas series win.

WI at '49 beat Ind 1-0 after 31 matches.
Zim at '98 beat Pak 1-0 after 34 matches. (1 abondant match)
SL at '95 beat NZ 1-0 after 63 Matches. (3 Abondant matches)
BD at 09 beat WI 2-0 after 61 matches.
Pak at '73 beat NZ 1-0 after 68 matches.
SA at '32 beat NZ 2-0 after 75 matches.
Ind at '68 beat NZ 3-1 after 108 matches. If you want to take out the first 29 matches "Greater Ind" played then in comes to 79 matches.

Statistically we are fine.

Seems that the WICB is sticking with the squad they picked for the first 2 ODIs, then maybe the full National team might play the third ODI and the 20/20 later. BD has to seize this opportunity and win these 2 matches.
I have seen WI beat Australia and SA in the 20/20s.

Well, according to Cricinfo, Gayle and Co will not be selected for two games. I really want them to play. Who knows they may play since WI cricket takes U-turn anytime.
