But in terms of coverage of this series it will defintly be better than in 2005 as Cricinfo have confiremed to me that there will be live coverage and Ten Sports and Supersport will be braodcasting all 5 ODI's

However in terms of communication from inside Zimbabwe in terms of the Zimbabwe camp there has been little given out. For example sources tell us that leading star Brendan Taylor has met up with the Sqaud in Bulawayo but there has been no confirmation that he has been added to the sqaud, nor has the 15 man sqaud been revelved for the series

There was supposed to be a big event last night where the sqaud for the series was supposed to be announced as well as the new franchise domestic league being launched along with the player of the year awards and there has been no press release about what happend.

In regards to tomorrow's match i dont expect to be able to get updates apart from your own Tigercricket.
Hi Zimfan:

Thanks for the feedback in a timely manner.
How is you people's response to and curosity about this upcoming series?
How is the media coverage of this series? I believe you do not have a free press yet.
I am looking forward to hearing more from you soon.

Till then, you take care.

Warm up match had been canceled.

Taylor and Waller in the national squad, warm up match cancelled

Posted by brmtaylor.com admin on August 07, 2009
Thank you to our friend Enock Muchinjo from the Zimbabwe Independent for this information.
The warm-up match at Bulawayo Athletic Club has been cancelled. The reason for the cancellation is believed to be because the Bangladesh kit is yet to arrive - whther this will affect the ODI series remains to be seen, there are still 2 days before the 1st ODI.
Meanwhile, Brendan Taylor and Malcolm Waller have been brought into the 15 man squad. The most notable omissions are Chris Mpofu and Keith Dabengwa. As expected, Charles Coventry and Mark Vermeulen both made the squad also.
Zimbabwe national squad: Prosper Utseya (captain), Hamilton Masakadza, Mark Vermeulen, Brendan Taylor, Stuart Matsikenyeri, Sean Williams, Elton Chigumbura, Charles Coventry, Vusi Sibanda, Chamu Chibhabha, Malcolm Waller, Ray Price, Tawanda Mupariwa, Graeme Cremer, Ed Rainsford.
The Zimbabwe A team that was due to play the Bangladeshi's, as expected, would have also featured Brendan Taylor. Tatenda Taibu, out of the national squad due to disciplinary reasons, would have captained Zimbabwe A.
Zimbabwe A vs Bangladeshi's: Tatenda Taibu (captain), Brendan Taylor, Chamu Chibhabha, Friday Kasteni, Bothwell Chapungu, Forster Mutizwa, Timycen Maruma, Chris Mpofu, Shingi Masakadza, Admire Manyumwa, Natsai Mushangwe, Tafadzwa Kamungozi (12th man), Trevor Garwe (13th man).

That's bad news! Even if kits arrive in time for ODIs, how are they going to practice in nets?!

Oh God...How come a international team left their kits in airport. What the team manager doing?

When you have multiple transit in multiple airports, there is always a potential risk of leaving your luggage’s behind. Why don’t you make your schedule having this in your mind? Typical casual attitude and very disappointing.

Yeah, blame very much goes to BCB. They should have kept in mind time it takes to travel from Caribbean to Zimbabwe and should have asked for few more days break in between two series.

Tatenda Taibu, out of the national squad due to disciplinary reasons, would have captained Zimbabwe A

This seeems like a strange way to punish a player for "disciplinary" reasons, drop him from the senior side and make him captain of the A side!

true, also to keep in mind Elton Chigumbura and Brendan Taylor ALWAYS play well against Bangladesh. Id say we're missing Shahriar Nafees for once, poor fellow missing out on a few centuries :P
