Default Stats to watch out for in ZIM (Aug 09)

Here’s few individual accomplishments to look forward to for the BD boys:

BATTING:

Highest ODI score: 134* by Shakib currently stands. Hopefully someone can break **Tamim 4th ODI**

3000 ODI runs: Ash is 99 runs away. His average suggests game five could be the game. ** 1st ODI**

2000 ODI runs: Shakib is 266 runs away. He will have to average 51.20 a game

1500 ODI runs : Tamim should cross as he is only 71 runs away **2nd ODI**

1000 ODI runs : unlikely for anyone to cross. Closest is Mushy at 668

500 ODI runs: JS should cross as he is 153 runs away, **Mahmadullah crossed 5th ODI**

Centuries: SN leads with 4, Shakib and Ash both have 2 and Tamim has 1 for the players in this tournament ** Shakib & Ash at 3, Tamim at 2**

Half Centuries : Ash leads with 18, followed by Bashar and Aftab at 14. Shakib can move up his current 12 fifties. With his 2 centuries, another fifty will make Shakib the 2nd in the list with 50+ scores (SN has 4+10 as well) ** Ash moves to 21 50+ scores, Shakib to 15**

Most runs in a series : SN 274 ** Tamim 4th ODI**

BOWLING:

Best Bowling in an innings : 6/26 by Mash

100 ODI wickets : Shakib closest with 70 so highly unlikely

50 ODI wickets: Nazmul closest with 26 so highly unlikely

5-wicket haul : No BD players have more than 1 and none of them are in the current series

Most wickets in a series : 13 by Razzak (2007 WC)

Best economy (10 overs) : 1.1 by Shakib (11 runs)

WICKET KEEPING:

Most dismissals (Wicketkeeper) : Mushy nowhere close to Masud in either catches or stumping

Most dismissals in a match : 5 ( Unlikely for Mushy but you never know)

Most dismissals in a series : 11 (could be broken by Mushy)

FIELDING:

Catches in an innings : 3

Catches in a series : 6

50 Catches : Ash closest with 29 so highly unlikely

WINS:

Largest win : 9 wickets / 146 runs

ODI wins : currently at 47 so hopefully we will celebrate our 50th this series **4th ODI**

First ODI:

1. Ash crosses 3K milestone and pushes century count to 3 (1 behind SN and 1 above Shakib).
2. Tamim is 8 runs away from the 1500 mark and adds another half century to his name
3. ODI win #48 (#18 against ZIM) for BD
4. An aggresssive chase that could have topped BDs highest ODI innings (301 vs KEN) had they been batting first
5. Almost matching the best win by wickets

2nd ODI:

1. Tamim crosses 1500. Gets his 10th half century. Has 12 50+ scores now tied with Aftab and Bashar
2. Shakib moves up to 3rd century, tied with Ash, moves past SN in 50+ scores (13), Increases avg. beyond 35. Fastest 100 (63balls) beats Kapali
3. BD crosses highest ODI total (301/7 vs. Ken)
4. JS 103 away from 500. 3 innings to go.
5. TI leading runs with 142 for the series, followed by Ash 125 and Shakib 104

3rd ODI:

1. Shakib moves past 75 wickets with two garbage wickets in the last over
2. Rokibul moves series tally to 124 with his 78. TI still leads with 142, Ash 134 and Shakib 121. Looks like SN's 274 will probably be safe
3. ZIM betters their record vs. BD to 21-19. BD will have to win the last two to get at 50%
4. Win streak snapped at 7
5. Shakib's first ODI defeat as captain

4th ODI:

1. Tamim gets highest ODI score 154
2. Tamim crosses SN record of 274 runs in a series (296 and counting)
3. Shakib ties Aftab for most runs (1874)
4. Tamim moves to 12 50+ scores to tie with Aftab and Bashar
5. Win #50
6. Highest successful chase (313)
7. TI joins SN, Ash and Shakib has mutliple centurion

5th ODI:

1. Level wins with ZIM all time 21 apiece
2. Mushfiq betters his highest score (98)
3. Tamim completes highest runs in a series at 300
4. Shakib becomes the 3rd all time highest ODI scorer for BD with eyes on 2K mark and Bashar in the next series
5. Mahmadullah Riyad crosses the 500 mark
6. $ Mahmud gets the 11th best bowling record for Bangladesh

Good thread. What is the highest runouts in a match and/or in a series? I mean bd got opponents runout and can that record be broken?

Good thread indeed. In fact I have even voted .

Lets see if we can break any of these but I am having such a bad feeling about this series. I was optimistic about WI series but not this one

one achieved. Ash's 3k.

Tamim needs 8 more runs.

Almost matched the largest win. 8 wickets. Dominating performance nevertheless.

I was hoping Tamim would've gotten his mark today too. Of course that probably would've shared the runs and prevented Ash from his century and 3K.

Good to see Ash playing well without the burden of captaincy. Three 50+ in four innings. When was the last time Ash did that?

Ash also increase the half centuries to 3 and 50+ scores to 21.

Tougher for Shak to aim for 2K this series.

JS didn't move up much but one good innings could get him the 500 runs by the end of this series.

After ODI one:

leading wickets : Nazmul 3
leading runs: Ash 103

^ would love to take the credit but the 2nd posted is being edited as each milestone is being broken.

Looks like this series will lead us to the door of some pretty good statistics to look forward to breaking for the next series.

Here's hoping for the following in the 3rd ODI:

Win #50
Evening out record vs. ZIM to 20-20
Breaking the 134* as a the highest score
Win streak of ODI to 8
Shakib crossing the 75 wicket mark
Ash or Shak tying SN in terms of centuries
Tamim getting a 3rd consecutive 50
A five for by any bowler

3rd ODI:

Shakib crosses the 75 wicket mark in the last over.

A big opportunity for some notable batting records by the boys with 324 to chase.

4th ODI marks to look for

Win #50
Shakib need 3 runs to cross SN and 20 to pass AA to be 2nd behind Bashar
Rokibul (740) & Mushy (724) will look to cross 750
Rokibul needs a 10* or 40 to move his avg. to 30 (only Shakib & SN and ofcourse Robin 40.50)
Shakib and Rasel are avg 30.07 and 30.05 respectively in bowling. need to knock it down to the 20's
4 way race for most runs in the series between TI, Ash, Shak & Rock

Final ODI here we go:

Tie all time record with ZIM at 21-21 with a win
Shakib needs 1 run to move to 3rd highest BD scoring list
Tamim is leading the series 296 (already a BD record)
Rokibul needs a 5* or 35 to move avg. beyond 30
Riyad 8 runs away from 500 and JS 67 runs away
TI needs another century to tie Shakib & Ash and another 50+ score to overtake Aftab & Bashar
Mushy 11 away from 750 and can push avg. beyond 20 with a 1* or 21
