Default Mystery about Junaid: why did not he bat today?

Many of us must be still looking for an answer why Junaid did not bat today. He was dropped from the team of the third ODI, apparently without any cricketing reason. He looked in great touch, though could not capitalize on the starts. He was brought back in the 4th ODI and did an excellent job, giving a perfect start to chase a big score. His quickfire 38 is one of the reasons why we were never under pressure about the required run rate. In today's match, he was in the squad; but never came to bat.

So, what happened to him? Is he injured? Or, is there any disciplinary problem? Or anything else?

Also, what happened to Dolar? Why did he leave the field and did not bowl his full quota, when there was a chance of adding to his 4 wickets?

Only Guessing:
Series won. Much managable target. So experiment with the Golden Boy.
or
Still teaching him a lesson.
or
There was swing in the pitch Dolar showed. Junaed is suspect on swing balls. So Mushi was brought in.
or
Minor injury.

Dolar:
Not finishing quota he did not need to with match in the bag. Could have left him for Powerplay overs as well.

I think it was an experiment. I think JS or someone wants Junaid out. Though Mushi has done well but his lacking against pace & new ball is still showing. Didn't like the experiment.

As we have already won the series, I like the experiment with Junaid today and it is successful.

The mystery would be unearthed by TM of PA soon enough.

Junaid should have batted in the top 5 at least... I think that there was a problem.

Now this is really extreme from pure speculation. I think JS hand picked him. Backed him up even when we all screamed Zunaed was not ready. If I am not correct, JS even scared BCB with a resignation letter if his demand was not met on selection before the NZ tour (at).

Acually it is not OK, if he was fit to play. Chasing 200 is an easy task; but that does not mean to dump an inform opener. There was no rationale behind experimenting with the opening, because in all 3 matches Junaid and Tamim have been successful to put up a good partnership.

Unless Junaed was injured (which is highly unprobable), I see no reason why he was not sent to open with Tamim, not even he was dropped down to number one slot. If it is an experimental issue, I strongly oppose the decision about not sending him open the innings. Tamim and Junaed has been surely proving better and better as opening duo and they should be nurtured for their opening slots untill the next world cup. This is a pathetic decision by the think tank to shuffle the opening partners since the duo has been in good touch and rythm.

Again, unless there is any unavoidable reason not to send Junaed to open the innings, this decision is a sabotage for the team in a long run.

Seems like Tamim misses him a lot while opening. In this series, Tamim failed twice and both time Junu didn't open with him. Coincident?

tigers_eye got it right.

also, why are we making it so difficult here with analysis/paralysis?

That was no "experiment" with Mushy - it was only to give him experience/exposure that will make him fundamentally better/stronger.

[redacted comment]

w/ that said..the way our players are, Banging them too much will only make it more difficult for them to take the right stance at the wicket...you know, with all the flaws they already have.

its universal - people get paid also when taking vacations.

since there is no off/on season in Cricket, as is with your high school summer vacation, he needs to sneak out on and off.
