On a serious note, isn't he perfectly justified for appealing for that as it was an obstruction? Maybe he was swearing and yelling because Kalabagan refused to comply with the umpire's decision that the batsman was out?

ঢাকা: ভিক্টোরিয়া স্পোর্টিংয়ের অধিনায়ক সাকিব আল হাসানের মাঠের আচরণ সত্যিই বিস্ময়কর! অকল্পনীয়ও বলা চলে। তাও প্রতিপক্ষ খেলোয়াড়দের উদ্দেশ্যে নয়। খোদ ক্রিকেট মাঠের আম্পায়ারদের উদ্দেশে অশোভন ভাষা ব্যবহার করেছেন।

ওয়ানডে এবং টেস্ট ক্রিকেটে বিশ্বসেরা অলরাউন্ডার সাকিব আম্পায়ারদের সঙ্গে এমন আচরণ করতে পারেন অনেকের ভাবনাতেও আসেনি। মাঠের আম্পায়ার গাজী সোহেল এবং আনিসুর রহমানও ভাবতে পারেননি জাতীয় দলের সাবেক অধিনায়কের মুখ থেকে অমন অশোভন কথা তাদেরকে শুনতে হবে। যদিও শেষপর্যন্ত দুই আম্পায়ার আলোচনা করে ভিক্টোরিয়ার পক্ষেই রায় দিয়েছেন। তবে সাকিবের আচরণে কষ্ট পেয়ে ম্যাচ রেফারিকে অনুরোধ করেছেন ব্যবস্থা নেওয়ার জন্য।

আম্পায়ারদের প্রতিবেদন পড়ে আইসিসির নিয়মের এক নং ধারায় ১০ হাজার টাকা জরিমানা করেছেন ম্যাচ রেফারি নিয়ামুর রশিদ রাহুল।

এবিষয়ে সাকিবের প্রতিক্রিয়া পাওয়া যায়নি। তার মোবাইল ফোনে যোগাযোগ করে পাওয়া যায়নি।

I wonder what did Shakib say and whom it was directed to. Looks like Kola baagan was the one breaking all the rules (Not obeying the umps decision). Why weren't they fined?

Here is the PA version.. it was not a big deal like the chhatar news24 has reported .. Umpire did not response to a legal appeal at the beginning Shakib kept on appealing and in the process might have got frustrated and lost his temper and might have said something.. So he was fined for that, case closed!!

You can tell the intention of the chhatar news24 here as at the end he mentioned the Tamim incident quite unnecessarily !!

sadly cricket is no longer a gentleman's game .. If it was then Australia wouldn't qualify for this game .. our players are just following the legacy (mostly the bad ones) .. But yes you are right, this shouldn't be an excuse for Shakib, Tamim or any other player. They are educated enough to know how to behave properly on and off field !!

Personally I don't care as much as in each case Shakib was right on his point, it's just the way he tried to make his point was wrong!! I hope he learns.. Many great players and leaders of the game were short tempered (like Imran Khan) but that got overlooked because they were performing. So as long as Shakib performs and doesn't do anything unethical I am ok with it. it's hard to control yourself in a situations where you know you are right , I get frustrated in those situations and feel like galagalying but can't do it as I have to hide myself behind the bhodrota mask. But that's what our society has taught us and we all should follow it of course !!
