কেউ একজন তার হাতে লাল-সবুজের টুপিটা দিয়েছেন। তারপর থেকেই সব জায়গাতেই ওই টুপিটা পরে ঘুরছিলেন সাকিব। পুরো মাঠ দলের সঙ্গে ভিক্টরি ল্যাপ দেওয়ার পরও সে টুপিটা কিছুক্ষণের জন্যও হাতছাড়া করেননি। এমনকি তামিমের জন্মদিনের কেক কাটার পরও যখন সবাই বলল, উপহার দিতেই হবে। তখন ছবি তোলার জন্য টুপিটা তামিমকে পরিয়ে দিয়েছিলেন সাকিব। অনুষ্ঠান শেষে সেটিও ফেরত নিয়েছিলেন। ৪৬ বলে ৫৬ রান তুলে দলের জয়ের বিশ্বাস জন্মে দেওয়া এই সাকিবকে এমন কিশোরপনা হতে কবে দেখেছে গ্যালারি! এর আগেও তো নিউজিল্যান্ডকে ঘরের মাঠে হোয়াইটওয়াশ করেছে সাকিবের দল, ওয়েস্ট ইন্ডিজেও সিরিজ জিতেছে, কিন্তু এদিন শ্রীলংকাকে হারিয়ে এশিয়া কাপের ফাইনালে ওঠার পর আনন্দের সব বাঁধই যেন ভেঙে ফেললেন সাকিব। 'না, সবটুকু আনন্দ করিনি। বাকিটুকু রেখে দিয়েছি ফাইনালের জন্য। যদি ফাইনালটা জিততে পারি তাহলে বলব, জীবনের সেরা দিনে দাঁড়িয়ে আছি। আজকের আনন্দটা কেবলই একরাতের জন্য। কাল সকালেই আবার ক্রিকেটে মনোযোগ দেব।' ড্রেসিংরুম থেকে সবার সঙ্গে 'আমরা করব জয়...' গানটি গেয়ে গলাটাও যেন একটু বসে গিয়েছিল সাকিবের। বারবারই পরিচিতদের কাছে জানতে চাইছেন স্টেডিয়ামের বাইরে কী অবস্থা। সাকিবদের বাস বের হওয়ার সময় একটু হাত উঁচিয়ে উৎসাহ দেওয়ার জন্য রাত সাড়ে ১২টায়ও স্টেডিয়াম গেটের সামনে গুলিস্তানের ভিড় লেগেছিল। গতকাল সেই সমর্থকদের বেশকিছু মার্ক দিলেন সাকিব। 'প্রধানমন্ত্রীকে জায়ান্ট স্ক্রিনে দেখে আমার মধ্যে একটা অন্যরকম অনুভূতি হয়েছিল। দর্শকদের চিৎকার শুনেও ভেতরে কেমন যেন হয়েছিল। সবাই এভাবে পাশে দাঁড়ালে মনে হয়, সবকিছুই জয় করা সম্ভব।' ম্যাচ শেষে সাংবাদিকদের সামনে এসে আগের চেয়েও বেশি আত্মবিশ্বাসী হয়ে ধরা দিয়েছিলেন সাকিব। আগে যেখানে তিনি আউট হলেই দলের জয় নিয়ে অনিশ্চয়তা দেখা দিত, সেখানে গতকাল নাসির হোসেন ৩৬ আর মাহমুদুল্লাহ ৩২ রানে অপরাজিত থেকে সেই পুরনো দিনের মিথও ভেঙে দিলেন। এ জন্য এ দু'জনকে ধন্যবাদ দিতে মোটেই ভুললেন না সাকিব_ 'নাসির গত কয়েকটি ম্যাচে দলকে যেভাবে সার্ভিস দিয়ে যাচ্ছে, তা এক কথায় অসাধারণ। আমাদের এই দলে এখন সবাই ম্যাচের হাল ধরতে জানে। এটাই হলো টিম বাংলাদেশ।' সাকিব অকপটে স্বীকার করেন দলের এই চেহারা পরিবর্তন করে দিয়েছে বিপিএল। 'বৃষ্টির কারণে যখন ৪০ ওভারে ২১২ টার্গেট হলো, তখন ড্রেসিংরুমে কেউ ভেঙে পড়েনি। বিপিএলের পরে এখন কোনো টার্গেটই আমরা ভয় পাই না। দলের প্রত্যেকের মধ্যে বিশ্বাস জন্মেছে, যে কোনো রান তাড়া করা সম্ভব, সেটা যত ভালো বোলিংয়ের বিপক্ষেই হোক না কেন।'


সাকিবের বিশ্বাস, জয়ের এই ধারা ফাইনালে পাকিস্তানের বিপক্ষেও ধরা দেবে। ভারত, শ্রীলংকার পর এবার পাকিস্তানকেও বধ করতে পারবে তার দল।

but Sakib's inn yesterday was a bit too aggressive , he was trying to hit too much & looked over confident. got lucky few times , unlike Tamim who was playing safe shots & still managing a SR of 100
It wasn't necessary at that stage, I hope his inn against Ind is not making him think differently, I want to see the same kind of innings he usually plays,with singles doubles and a boundary When ever it is there to be hit.

I think one of the biggest reason for our improvement has been shakib, his performances have shown his teammates that they can do it too, and also they have a duty to step up and try to match him. They look a lot more confident now and can beat any team. After shakib got out against ind and sl none of the players panicked like they might have before and actually finished the match.
