Hi there
I know Bijoy quite well, but the problem is that his name is actually Enamul Haque (that's what he told me). Someone in BKSP or BCB tweaked it to Anamul because it was being mistaken for the other Enamul Haque. I think such a practice is cruel on a person.

"Stay honest, disciplined and be fully determined to reach the target you want to achieve. A lot of difficult phases will come but stay determined..... If one can be this determined, anything is possible. To stay in this frame of mind, you have to be honest, do a lot of hard work and be dedicated to the cause."
There is the key to his success. He has always been dead-honest and open minded about his weaknesses and has been always looking to improve, along with putting hard work, passion/desire and determination for perfection. It sounds very simple, but if you think about it, that set of characteristics is hard to find not just in BD, but anywhere, anytime. I can actually hand count how many such people (who are dead-honest about everything, hard working, and passionate) I have seen in my life.
What's interesting to me is that he had to face tough times for some of these very characteristics. For excample, his dead-honesty translates into non-diplomacy. Many bd fans, media, and BCB, at different times, blamed him for this. For example, many people termed him as "arrogant" when he advocated against playing Mashrafe for a few matches (Shak was absolutely right as Mash was overweight and unfit at that time) or against taking Ashraful at one point. He was simply giving his honest feedback for the best interest of bd cricket without succumbing to the glamor of other cricketers. I knew exactly what Shakib's attitude was, and have always supported him throughout; but was amazed to see how many (emotional Mash) fans or media criticized him. I know the love of the media is currently flowing over Shakib due to his good run in the Asia cup and it will probably end as soon as he hits a poor run (hope that never occurs). But, my request to all the bd fans is to please recognize the goodness of some of these characteristics Shakib has and keep that in mind in the future no matter what controversial situation we face.

^^I agree with you. He has just been coloured only because of being dead-honest and oh yes, not being "salam deya boka boka bhodro chele"

Ahh I'm afraid that's not the one, Actually I don't know. Worcs were referring to the account I had posted, whereas our coach follows some other account. Don't know who's right!

Thanks, and thanks for responding as well.
Question for you, if you can respond.
1. Do you think he wants to focus on tests and in particular test bowling now more than batting?
2. Why is he insisting on calling himself lazy? Is it flippant or is it a bit tongue-in-cheek?
We know he works hard on the field and we have not heard of him not going to practice.
3. Do you know of a support group for him that reminds him from time to time to get him to higher levels and does not praise him too much to keep things real? That is in the broader context of time and space and not only in the context of Bangladesh and Now.
Thanks.

According to one of my friend's facebook status Shakib was at spitfire about an hour ago, and the ladies were going gaga for him. What's spitfire, is that a restaurant?

Yup, I've got it too :P The pictures from that account, including the one you're using as the avatar, can't be from a fake account.
