Wriddhiman Saha is now part of the Chennai Super Kings.

Besides Shakib and Tiwary, KKR has 3 more Bengali players: Debabrata Das (batsman), Laxmi Ratan Shukla (allrounder) and Shami Ahmed (bowler).

Nope I'm pretty much sure....they'll take him for the first match...Shakib just needs to perform the usual....after he's no. 1 all-rounder...who cares if Narine's there or not...call it aggression or what....Shakib's a true performer...and by now everyone pretty much knows it. Period.

Kallis, Mccullum,Lee will be in the starting XI . Shakib, Narine , RTD and Morgan will fight for the remaining spot .

shakib offers both batting and bowling. narine might be a good bowler but you cant drop World's best allrounder just for the sake of a bowler who is yet so succeed against top oppositions

Bangladesh cricketers always seem to be under privileged. Shakib is the best allrounder in the world. He was in great form in asia cup, bpl and pak series and still KKR ignore him? What else does he need to do? Take 10 wickets in every odi match?!?!?

Let's not be so pessimistic guys. What makes us assume that Shak will not be in playing XI? Let's wait and see.

If we happen to find that Shak is not taken in the first match, then let's tear the dumb KKR management apart....

They're just nuts. They already have Shak, Abdulla and even Yusuf can turn his arm over -why are they playing Narine? I know he's been in great form and all that but still?

Well it says that Narine will play in the IPL instead of the Australia tests but it's not saying that he's going to get in to all the matches. He'll just be available for all the matches now. I'm sure it'll come down to game day before they make their final decisions on what the teams will be.

agree

is too good a player to be benched. imo, he should be the first foreign player to be picked among the lot. No one can underestimate him esp. after the class he displayed. 6 wickets, and 3 50s, and a 49

this is what I hate about ipl- so many quality players sit on the bench. just too many overseas players are allowed to be registered but only 4 can play. BPL is much better in that aspect. register 8, play 5. ipl should allow to play 5 overseas players now that there are 10 teams. there has been an outcry for this since season 1 from the coaches.

Kallis has a pathetic strike rate in T20 cricket. When you're batting in the powerplay overs, a strike rate of just 108 is nowhere near acceptable. Great batsman as he is, he doesn't deserve to play T20 cricket. Brett Lee is well past his prime, and shouldn't be selected either.

But I feel the dumb KKR management will select based on reputation.

Don't agree. Simply because India has too many players to ignore. Instead they should limit the number of foreign players getting registered. What works for IPL doesn't work for BPL vice versa.

I disagree. 5 is way too many for BPL. For IPL sometimes 4 seems too many. India have too many players of international standards waiting for a chance.

They have so many players who are better than Tamims and Shakibs(batting) waiting to get a team.

Bangladesh played 5 foreigners because we don't have that many players who are international standards.
