you know, "biye hochche karo poush mash, karo shorbonash". shakib can get married, as long as he looks into the detailed "jonmo-kushti" of the bride and makes sure that she is going to be a "poush mash" for him
you never know, we might get a top ranked bowler, as well as a top ranked batsman, in him after the wedding if he chooses the right girl

Yeah
Here's the bride
But I hope not this one
maybe this one?
But I think he should go for a bangali flavour-HIS STYLE IS UNPARALLELED
Shakib is really spoilt for choice here with the doctors out there

Are KKR takin the mick out of shakib by not playin him. Look at Yusuf Pathan, he has batted in 10 games, and scored below 15 all of the times, and under 10 runs most of the times. And then he has bowled in 10 matches and picked up only one wicket.

It`s not about Shakib replacing YP.. it`s about how they treat some players.. KKR is always supporting YP, Cullum, Kallis regardless of their performances.. Shakib is not given that many chances.. as YP is a complete failure among all of them the comparison comes in as both of them are all rounders..
They can easily replace YP (a below standard all-rounder in this IPL) with Bisla.. Bisla can open with Gambhir.. Then Cullum can be replaced by Shakib (who will contribute much more than YP either with ball or bat or both)

Forget about wickets. Look for the economy. Wonderful!

Shakib is ignored or given less chances just because he's from BD. That's it.
We BD people are ignored or treated badly all over the globe.

Not really!
Years back, my uncle was in USA with some Indians and Pakistanis for a workshop. Before returning back home, they decided to visit Canada, hence, applied for visa.
Interestingly, only my uncle and two other Bangladeshi got Canadian visa. No Indians or Pakistanis were allowed to visit Canada due to the fear that they won't return back!
There's more...
In Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada - Bangladeshis are well respected and greeted especially due to few reasons:
> There are few doctors (GP) who are amongst the best in the province
> A few students at the University of Manitoba are always in Dean's list for extra-ordinary results
> A lot of dedicated social workers are from Bangladeshi origin
The above, plus other reasons, Bangladeshis are well respected and treated in Manitoba. And I am sure this is not the only case.

He loves football more than cricket. Proof enough of his Bangaliana? Shakib Al Hasan, the Bangladeshi all-rounder in the KKR camp, chats with t2 on bat, ball and Bangladesh
How Bengali are you?
Fully!
Give us some proof…
Ei je ekhon Bangla boltesi…
They say if you are Bengali, you must have written poetry or played football…
I am crazy about football, I like it more than cricket! That’s how I am (laughs). I used to play football. You can say that it is my hobby. I like to play football whenever I get the chance. There is no specific position that I love playing at… any position, except for defence.
Who do you root for while watching football?
Argentina and Barcelona. I follow English Premier League, Champions League, Spanish League and the Bangladeshi team.
So, Lionel Messi must be your favourite?
Yes… Messi… what I like about him is that he became the World Player of the Year three times in a row (2010 to 2012)… the consistency that he maintains is so unusual and so difficult… scoring and performing for your team. This inspires me to do well for whichever team I play.
And you must have watched the Barcelona vs Chelsea Champions League match?
Oh yes! I could not sleep till 3am… seriously!
Had you not been a cricketer, would you have been a footballer?
Yeah… my cousin Mehdi Hasan has played eight-nine years for Bangladesh and my father was also a footballer. I started off playing football. In 2000, I started picking up cricket. I was playing football in the morning and cricket in the evening. I chose to play cricket because after the 1997 ICC Trophy, cricket became more popular in Bangladesh and more guys started playing the game. My friends did not stop playing football, they started playing more cricket!
Your cricketing idols?
Well, when I was a kid, I used to like Pakistan. I used to see Saeed Anwar’s batting all the time. I was crazy about him… I wanted to be like him. But I won’t say he was my idol.
Then Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara were my favourites. I used to like Rahul Dravid, Daniel Vettori and Shivnarine Chanderpaul too. I tried to learn from them.
How do you spend your time in Calcutta?
We don’t really get the chance to go out and look around the city. In the hotel, we go to the gym whenever we get a chance. Or swimming. Other than that, I watch TV — football most of the time — and maybe some Hindi movie.
And how did you celebrate Poila Baisakh here?
I was in my hotel room the whole day… I missed panta (fermented rice) with fried hilsa. I have it every year on Nava Varsha. This time, it was breakfast with omelette and bread!

This year Sakib is getting a lot from Indian media, may be because of his recent success in all forms specially Asia cup.
