man wattos points was 41+..if he took 4 more wickets he would have been number 1 by far..i dont get it..shakib's bowling points shows 24.52,then why he isn't present in the top 10 bowlers list also

ঢাকা: আইপিএলের সেই প্রথম আসর থেকে গণমাধ্যমই হয়ত চাইছিল কলকাতা নাইট রাইডারস (কেকেআর) শিরোপা পাক। অবশেষে পঞ্চম আসরে সেই বহুল প্রত্যাশিত শিরোপা ঘরে এলো। চ্যাম্পিয়ন ক্লাবটির চেয়ে বাজারে তার মালিক শাহরুখ খানের দাম কিন্তু অনেক বেশি। বিজ্ঞাপন, টি-শার্ট বিক্রি থেকে শুরু করে স্পনসরদের আগ্রহ তার প্রতিই। ফলে গত চারটি আসরে চ্যাম্পিয়ন না হলেও শাহরুখের ক্লাবের আয় সবচেয়ে বেশি। এর কারণ কেবল কেকেআর বা মাঠের নায়কেরা নয়, রূপালি পর্দার নায়ক শাহরুখ খান।

আইপিএলের ফাইনালে আসতে একটি টিমকে ১৬টি ম্যাচ খেলতে হয়েছে। এর মধ্যে সাকিব আল হাসানকে খেলানো হয়েছে আটটি। টুর্নামেন্টে আটটি ম্যাচ খেলে সাকিব দুইবার ম্যান অব দ্য ম্যাচের পুরস্কার পেয়েছেন। অথচ শুরু থেকেই মূল স্কোয়াডে বারবার অনিশ্চিত ছিলেন সাকিব। বিশ্বের সেরা অলরাউন্ডারকে না খেলানোর কোনো যৌক্তিক উত্তর দেয়নি কেকেআর।

ফাইনালের আগের দিন, এমনকি বিকেলেও অনিশ্চিত ছিলেন সাকিব। পরে অবশ্য মাঠে তাকে খেলতে দেখে স্বস্তি পায় এপার-ওপার বাংলার দর্শক।

ফাইনালে সাকিবকে তিন ওভার বোলিং করান অধিনায়ক গৌতম গম্ভীর। কেকেআরের বোলারদের তুলোধোনা করে পাহাড় সমান রান (১৯০) করে এমএস ধোনির দল চেন্নাই সুপার কিংস (সিএসকে), সাকিবের খরচ হয় মাত্র ২৫ রান (গড় ৮.৩৩ )। কোনো বোলারই পাত্তা পাচ্ছিল না, ২০তম ওভারে সাকিবের হাতে বল তুলে দেওয়া হলো। এতেও সফল তিনি, রান খরচ মাত্র ৮। এর মধ্যে ফিল্ডারদের ভুলে দু রান যায় অতিরিক্তর খাতায়।

এছাড়া ম্যাচে মুরালি বিজয়ের দুর্দান্ত ক্যাচ নেন সাকিব। এজন্য সেরা ক্যাচ নেওয়ার পুরস্কারও পান।

ব্যাটিংয়ে নেমে ১১ রানের একটি দুর্দান্ত ইনিংস খেলেন সাকিব। সিএসকের ১৯০ রান তাড়া করতে নেমে মূল অবদান রাখেন মনবিন্দর সিং বিসলা। তার ৪৮ বলে ৮৯ রান কেকেআরের সবচেয়ে বড় পুঁজি। সঙ্গে জ্যাক ক্যালিসের ৬৯ রান।

খেলার শেষ পর্যায়ে, দলের ১৯তম ওভারে বল করতে নামেন সিএসকের হিলফেনহস। ওই ওভারের শেষ বলে ফুলটস মারতে গিয়ে সাকিব ক্যাচ আউট হয়ে যাচ্ছিলেন। কিন্তু কোমর উচ্চতার ওপরে ফুলটস পড়ায় আম্পায়ার ‘নো বল’ দিলেন, সাকিব নিলেন দুই। তার পরের ফুলটসে ফাইন লেগ দিয়ে একটা চার মারলেন। দু’বলে উঠল সাত। সাকিবের ওই ইনিংস যেন আনন্দ আর উল্লাসে পশ্চিম আর পূর্ব বাংলাকে একাকার করে দিল।

কিন্তু এতোকিছুর পরও ভারতীয় সংবাদমাধ্যমগুলো, এমনকি কেকেআরের নিজস্ব ওয়েবসাইটেও সাকিবকে যথাযথ স্বীকৃতি দেওয়া হয়নি। কেকেআরের ওয়েবসাইটের (http://www.kkr.in/) হোমপেজে দেওয়া পোস্টারে সাকিব আল হাসান নেই। অথচ এখানে ক্লাব কর্মকর্তারাসহ সব ক্রিকেটারের ছবি জ্বলজ্বল করছে।

এনডিটিভি, হিন্দুস্তান টাইমস, টাইমস অব ইন্ডিয়াসহ ভারতের প্রধান সব সংবাদ মাধ্যম সাকিবের অবদানের কথা উল্লেখ করেনি। সংবাদের ভেতরে ‘কোনোরকম’ সাকিবের উপস্থিতি।

সাকিবকে নিয়ে ক্লাব কর্তৃপক্ষ, কলকাতার দাদারা ও ভারতীয় সংবাদ মাধ্যমগুলো শুরু থেকেই হীনম্মন্যতার পরিচয় দিয়ে আসছে।

চলতি মৌসুমে আইপিএলে বিশ্বসেরা এই অলরাউন্ডার ১২টি উইকেট পেয়েছেন। আর ব্যাট থেকে এসেছে ৯১ রান।

ভারত বা পশ্চিমবঙ্গের লোকজন তাচ্ছিল্য করে এপার বাংলা অর্থাৎ বাংলাদেশের মানুষকে ‘বাঙ্গাল’ বলে ‍অভিহিত করে থাকেন। এটা নিশ্চয়ই তাদের হীনম্মন্যতা প্রসূত। আমাদের বাঙাল ক্রিকেটার সাকিবকে নিয়ে যা করা হলো, তার মূল সেই ইতিহাসের পরম্পরায়।

Sakib has not bowled 35 overs (minimum criteria used in bowlers list)

can anyone with cricinfo account point to this in the comments section? a lot of comment against him with no real stat. WE ARE TALKING ABOUT SAKIB'S PERFORMANCE IN THIS IPL AND HE HAS THE BEST STAT FOR ALL ROUNDERS!

Great contribution from our hero in all 3 department !!! The unsung hero..Took an outstanding catch, bowled a superb last over to restrict CSK below 200 and played a match turning shot at the crucial time.. That's what you call a perfect all rounder !!

because he didn't bowl 35 overs

But you have to give credit to this boy .. He didn't get many chances to play and neither he was at the limelight throughout but still he managed those stats to bring him at the top of the all rounder table.. That speaks for his consistency..

Thik e to likhse.. that's exactly what happened with Shakib.. KKR never showed proper respect to Shakib the way they show to the foreign players.. They considered playing Shakib only when Lee was miserable... Not a single member of the KKR team thinks Shakib is a world class all rounder.. that's pathetic.. even the commentator says he is a useful cricketer

while you were raised above head?

my job. After the
match they lifted me up as I was in front of

reason was.
Q: You said nobody
would sleep tonight and Shah Rukh is going
to be mad. How did you
observe his gala?
SHAKIB: Certainly, he
was very happy. He
must be happier than others as he is the
owner and his team has
won the title after
five years. In fact, he

Q: Did Shah Rukh congratulate you?
SHAKIB: He appraises
all players equally. He
evaluates equally the
players, performers
and those who have not got the chance to
be in the squad. He
thanked all of us for

title ship?
SHAKIB: I naturally
feel regret for the
matches I have not played. But it’s a
great honor for me to

in Kolkata. How do you
feel about your
growing followers
outside Bangladesh? SHAKIB: Well, a plenty
of supporters have
been generated in
Kolkata. From the
beginning while I was
not playing, I heard that they had
demanded to add me in

of phone calls I have
received while I
returned Kolkata. Followers
congratulated me as
the way they could.
Many journalists have
come for interview. I
have faced them. Still my phone is ringing.
The people of
Pashchimbanga like me
a lot. I feel proud as a

Q: Sure you have received greetings from
family and friends!
SHAKIB: I usually do
not communicate with
my family with these
types of stuff. They turned informed by
television and
newspapers. Somebody
informed them over
phone. And my
countrymen do not know my cell number
even a few of my close
ones. I think they

Q: You are a successful cricketer in Bangladesh
as you have achieved
numerous landmarks in
your career. You have
finished your second
IPL with the trophy. Do you consider

requires luck for

near future and
committed to play

Abdulla heads to Dhaka, via Kolkata

But Abdulla won't be unpacking his bags and putting his feet up. In fact, he'll be heading straight to Bangladesh after his short visit to Kolkata. The left-arm spinner will be taking part in the Dhaka Premier League for Shakib Al Hasan-led side Victoria which also has players like Tamim Iqbal.

“At least I will get a chance to play 4-5 games and with player like Shakib and Tamim in the side, it will be a good learning experience for me. It will be a 50 overs game and I will get a chance to bat at the top of the order too which will help me gain confidence,” the Mumbai left-arm spinner said.
