Good to see SN's first ODI hundred! He went on to bully Zimbabwe for the next 2-3 years!

Shakib is on KKR player of the season nominees. Interestingly the only photo there contains Shakib celebrating a wicket. Please vote for our superman.
"Shakib Al Hasan : The Bangladeshi all rounder was magnificent in the matches that he played this season. Shakib played 8 matches and picked 12 wickets at an economy rate of 6.50 and also scored crucial runs lower down the order. He picked up 2 Man of the match awards in these games, both for brilliant all round performances, the first coming against RR in the league stages and the second against PWI, where he scored a quick fire 42 before picking up 2 wickets to help the Knights seal their top 2 spot on the points table. He also kept a cool head in Manoj Tiwary’s company to take the Knights over the finish line in the final."
They forgot to mention that he is the only player who took wicket in every match he played.

No matter how much I like shakib I agree with night wolf ....narine is their player of the season and it doesn't seem right for Shak to win this one

Narine will win even if all the Shakib fans vote for Shakib. Common sense will prevail.

won't be fair to vote Sakib,at the same time it wasn't fair that Sakib didn't play enough/all matches.(I personally believe he would have been the best player if he had played enough matches.)
So I ain't voting anyone.

Gambhir for me.
Led that team exceptionally well...and Kolkata struggled with the bat in hand(Kallis went off the boil in the 2nd half of the tournament, McCullum had what 2-3 good knocks?, Pathan was a huge flop...Shakib was patchy with his batting).
But Gambhir led from the front and easily outscored the rest of the team.
*Realizes this is not the KKR thread...meh.

It has to be either Gambhir or Narine.

Def Narine, changed the KKR teams fortunes.
Shakib has now established himself within KKR and it would be foolish for KKR management to remove him from the first XI so maybe in next season he has high percentage of becoming Player of the Series.

^Senman, despite Shakib taking 11 wickets in 7 matches in 2011, KKR benched for the majority of the matches this season. What will you call that?
As for being player of the series, he could easily been one this season had he played in every match

^All about combinations...Narire without a shadow of a doubt outbowled him...and Shakib didn't perform well enough with the bat to justify his position at times.
Even when he got going, he had a bit of luck in a couple of matches...dropped catches, caught off no balls etc.
Think this was a good learning experience for Shakib and KKR, he'll play more than half the matches next season.

stupid KKR management of-course. I am Shakib's fan he is my fav Bangladeshi cricketer ever, would definitely enjoyed him playing more matches in IPL.
He could have POS been if he played all the matches but we are not talking about the ifs. As a neutral(I support CSK) my opinion is that Narine had a bigger impact on the team KKR and on IPL on the whole than Shakib that is my view.
Gayle and Narine are the two big impact players of IPL5
Please don't term me as a Anti-Fan of Shakib which I am not. Best of luck for Shakib in IPL6.

I wholeheartedly agree with Senman. (Also with F6_Turbo that Gambhir led the team well, even if he dropped Shakib)

Haha! Don't worry....no issues
Was just asking your opinion....because how big of a fan you are of CSK and MSD
Definitely, Narine was the best for KKR this season and there's no comparison

it should be Narine all the way !!! 2nd best Gautam !!!
But to be fair with Shakib he didn't play enough matches to have a bigger impact... I think if he played all the matches he would've been a strong contender along with Narine and Gautam !!

Agree with you all logical people. Narine was the the top performer without a doubt. But, my vote belongs to Shakib because emotion wins over logic
There's another reason. Narine will win anyways. But, if we all vote for Shakib, he might get the second position, which might positively influence his odds of being counted as the third preferred foreign player (after kallis and narine) next season.
Please all vote for our man.
