^^ Once you reach such a position, you don't take 'rest' in the same way laypeople do. Social engagements and anything away from cricket is considered 'rest' for him.

I just want our other players to take a glance at shakib. Shakib, atm, is second to none as an all-rounder and topping the all-rounder rankings in both tests and ODIs shows his ability. No wonder he is getting so much money, fame, attention, people running after him
If the others work that extra hard they too will receive similar fame/money. So they shud try to work that extra bit harder.
also, they must never forget the meaning of survival of the fittest. Even if you are a good player, you wont get much chances if there are other quality players as well. So you need to work that extra bit harder to become better

+1 PM! Everyone should realise this the sooner..the better! Cricket's a team game....and it's more than high time that we adapt it and not let it happen a one-man-show! Of course, Shakib's important, but imagine what Tigers can become if each and all them take the extra-mile and perform....

not saying this just to go against you pm, but i don't agree with you where you say ''if the others work that extra hard'' shakib himself says hes lazy and doesen't spend above average time on practising, im sure most players do try their hardest and you shouldn't try and discredit their effort and time spent in to their cricket just because they haven't been as succesful as shakib, i beleive shakib is a special talent and he could become even greater if he works harder himself. PEACE.

Thats what Shakib himself says. "im the most laziest during practice" If u see him there is no one more committed in a cricket match than shakib himself. He over the last 4 years has played MORE cricket matches than anyone else in the entire team, so if youngsters say: "But shakib bhai doesnt practice hard, so why should we?" then he knows nothing. Shakib has played in BPL, county and also IPL, plus played almost all the match for BD in the last few years. Playing so many matches, against different players, and also getting accustomed to different teams is a big challenge for any cricketer. This challenge brings the best out of him and though it may seem easy but it isnt.
You also mentioned working hard enough. I wont say that some of our boys dont work hard enough, some do but most others dont. Mushy and Lullah may be example of those who work hard. But do most work hard enough? Where, I dont see anyone spend hours in the Gym or practicing overtime. If they are desperate to become a superstar they have to work much harder. Shakib may be talented but remember, he didnt become such a big player all of a sudden. He had to work hard day and night, use whatever resource to help improve himself, afterall, he too was a pretty ORDINARY cricketer when he entered the scene, with as much promise as those like naeem and rakibul.

i don't think ill bother debating with you... you don't realize your own faulty logic and you are arguing against your own logic while thinking youre making a valid point for your argument. just read over your original post and my response and your response to my response and see if you are making much sense and using logic in your argument. PEACE (last time ill get myself in to these pointless discusions with you so good bye )

You must not have followed his progress in his U19 days. He was a special talent in all the age levels and a superstar in the U19 level.
