Shakib Al Hasan has now been No 1. in the Reliance ICC ODI all-rounders rankings for 432 ODIs (includes all games), the same as what Jacques Kallis managed.

Shakibs are not made by coaches but by individuals who think in a positive frame of mind and most importantly: Prepared to take on challenges

Good batting, bad bowling. That sums it up really. Since he has returned after a break we should cut him some slack. His bowling will return to its usual state in no time.

Not too concerned about his bowling, the game was already won and the tail enders decided to have a go. I'm sure his figures would be better in a tighter match situation.

How do you guys know he bowled bad? Did you guys see him bowl? Not picking up wicket doesn't = bad bowling. He was brought in to stop the exploding start by the Irish. And he did; 6 from 2. They couldn't hit him. And as usual batsmen try to play out the best bowler, they were doing just that. He build the pressure, stopped the run flow and Sunny picked up the wicket. Econ 6 is a great rate in T20. He only got hit on the last over, when it didn't even matter.

And ya...if a bowler doesn't get wicket and doesn't have great economy.... We always equate it as bad bowling for every bowler and thats same for Shak too. But yes, you can't expect him to do good in every department .. Every day.
He has done well with bat and bad with ball, that evens out his performance... Shouldn't have a complain...
