We should open a petition to ban Test cricket thread. FC/Test cricket is destroying bowling by rewarding batsmen more.

Somehow I am having the feelings that AL is trying their best to get Shakib in their party and if Shakib gets nvolved in politics after retirement he will win hands down.. He is as popular in BD as Sachin is in India. But I'm really not comfortable with him joining the politics. A corrupt system is bound to make someone a part of their culture. I would rather like him to have his own party. But then again AL or BNP won't let that happen. They will do the same as they did with Yunus.

The general sentiment in the BD cricket camp is that AL govt. does a lot more for them than the BNP govt. This is coming from the mouth of one of our popular players (I won't mention who).

I think the AL leader SH is also very much respected by the players because of her direct involvement in cricket at times as the PM of the country (although she doesn't have to) and I think the players appreciate her enthusiasms. I am not saying BNP leader KZ doesn't do much but I hardly seen anything in the media.

Remember Akram khan was called by SH to iron out some issues after he handed the resignation letter. As a neutral individual I liked the fact that she intervened. It shows that she really does care.

If there was anyone from our current camp to go on to the ugliness of politics then I'd say they would most probably choose AL. Just my personal opinion.

I hope it is that. However, his form with the ball has been off for over a couple of months now. The CLT20, WT20 and even in NCL match he played, hasn't got good figures.

Maybe playing a lot of T20 has affected his rhythm but a good bowler should be able to adjust to the different formats.

Unacceptable really

Though it looks like the team management didn't want to use him as much at the first place.. So he might not have focused on his bowling.. He has been introduced only when the pacers were giving away too many runs..But he was just getting his rhythm back at the end... I think he requires longer spells to get his desired line and length but his injury is not permitting him to bowl longer spells .. This could be a reason and also too much T20 is affecting as well. . Let's see whether he comes back strongly tomorrow or not..

The effect of T20 cricket is having a negative effect on Shakib's test match bowling. He's bowling to flat and wide more often than one would like. I despise T20 cricket, the only 17 year old in the world probably >.<
