WarWolf, please get your message across to Mushy and the BD management somehow.
Mushy lacks the common knowledge and instincts of a captain.

Can't remember when was the last time Shakib actually spun the ball !! I understand this pitch is dead but a finger spinner should be able to spin a ball at least few times in a day.

I don't think I've seen Shakib go wicketless for such a long time. What the hell is going on?

Yeah its sad really as I remember him to be one of the only few bangladesh bowlers who would get turn and grip. I dont know what exactly happened to his bowling.

Its a flat pitch, calm down lol. He got it to turn just a few times, and he was unlucky that Samuels got Ash's blessings with that one delivery.

And what was Dhaka?? And these guys bowl day in day out on flat pitches...so, whats the point? Can we stop comforting ourselves on illusions & Excuses?? He wasnt getting wicket in IPL while Narine was getting, he wasn't getting wickets in NCL but others were getting on the same pitches. Learn to acknowledge It's a concern .
Shakib's bowling isn't the same as it was until NZ series...lets face that and solve the issue, the way it's felt the best. May be another variety of a spinner in such pitches can make all of them more effective as a unit...or whatever plan makes them effective. Telling lies to ourselves and sitting back in comfort can only cheat ourselves

Just raced past Rafiq in less matches played and with a better average.

I doubt that. Because
1. As soon as he decided to flight the ball and extract spin, he was troubling the batsmen and got wickets.
2. He has been in good form with the bat this year despite his awry form with the ball. He gifted his wicket in the first match, first innings. He was squared up by a good ball and edged it in the first match, second innings. This match, first innings, he just played a lazy faltu ODI shot outside off after driving the previous ball for four.
3. If his injury was playing a big part, I'm sure he would have gone under the knife instead of delaying it.

He's mentally fatigued and demotivated. Playing along side a bunch of hopeless losers does that to you.

You never know Maysun...maybe he is...for the sake of national side!! Because skipping couple of unofficial t20s is alright, but a series that too with WI...doubt it!

His injury is pretty serious.. he decided not to skip WI series and might go for the surgery after this series that's what I came to know..

Thankfully he is not out of form with the bat, or else this team would have been extremely screwed.
