Oronnya, how many games he played for Bangladesh in last one year? We didn't play any Tests since november/december last year until this series. We played 2/3 ODI series. And about 10-15 T20s.

In last 2 year he played mostly for Worcs and KKR(Destroyer of his bowling). Champions league theke she chaile rest nite parto kintu she neini. he could have gone for the operation as well. But he didnt. He should blame himself for this injury. nijer kheyal nije na rakhle karo kisu korar nai. she mone hoi chai shob money ekhoni earn korte. he is a young guy. money earn korar ekhono onek shomoi ache. have lots of time left in his career. jodi erokom khelte thake then his career will be over in half time.

Here, I'm not complaining about his commitment towards the team. I know he gives more than his100% when he is inside the boundary line unlike most other senior players.

@ all those Blinds...

Relentless denial of a simple thing.....

I don't know if this has any relation to what I said.....

Do you mean that, even after trying too hard he can't or he throws away wickets by doing something stupid because he tries hard...

I mean when he needed to stay in wicket instead of hitting a six...is the result of hard work?? I don't get it really...

Even oidiner pola Abul century korey gelo with a hairline fracture in the finger...aar good/great cricketers have always played with problems here and there. Tino best smashed us with hamstring and missed the entire ODI series after that...I mean, what's exclusive here that you like to prove ?? Is he the first cricketer to get an injury? And how many cricketers get injury due to lack of hard work??

And we aren't taking about Shakib's sincerity but stupidity

As long as you guys are not complaining about his commitment amar kono prob nai .. ekhon jotto ichha criticize korte thaken... I have criticized his stupidity as well and will keep complaining about that but can never call him selfish.. He is stupid just like the other gordhops in the team and this is not the first time he did that. He is a born heart breaker . Always throws his beautiful innings away .. He keeps playing like that and so does the entire team. As I said you won't see any changes in their style from the current set of players . They will remain gadhas for the next 14 years

I'm not blind I'm fair yes fair. I know exactly when and what to criticize and what to appreciate unlike many fans who just comes here to criticize. They are blind haters.

Murad Bhai:
Shakib (for nation in all formats at 25 years of age ) bowled 294 overs in last 12 months and faced 1156 balls in last 12 months.

Comparing to the other all-rounder ( a fast medium guy and great batsman - JK for nation in all formats at 37 years of age)
He bowled 183 overs at fast medium pace and faced 1970 balls.

I know that and appreciate .....

But, I don't think there can be any hater of Shakb in BD, but there can be critics...he has enough scope for that too, as you also ack. And when someone resorts to every possible means to shut genuine criticism, Obviously he is a blind fan (You are Not One,....... May be soooome times semi... j/k )

Wasn't it Shakib who skipped the Pak tour for his exam?? Or was it Mushy?? Fact is, they all know when to take their call...and we all appreciated that too. For health issues, you don't need to teach anyone to take a call...we learnt it without any teacher in Class 7 when to report sick to avoid physical trainings n Cadet college.... They aren't baby....he knows what's important and he took his call, you can't really use that to make him a hero..."ohhh what a sacrifice for the country..." these are cheap journalism...no need to fall into that trap ... There are better ways to show heroism and when people miss those opportunities due to dumbness, that deserves a mention.

i more of a post follower than a writer so obviously i must feel strongly about this to feel the urge to post a comment. i dont think there is any shakib hater here, they are rather his fans who are frustrated with him not meeting their expectations or his full potential. when we complain about shakib missing his century it is because we dont expect him to be mushy or naeem, we expect him to be much much bigger and better because he is capable of that. when you become complacent with shakib's permormance and defend his shortcomings then you are not giving his his due credit. my second point, from a closer perspective is that many of you shakib fans out there might want to dig deeper and find out what a big milestone he is reaching in mid december, the biggest in his life so far. his wife to be has just arrived in dhaka last week so sometimes even for a cricketer, life is not all about cricket. this timing is very crucial for shakib outside the field. shakib stepping out of the field after probably his longest break from bd cricket (the last match being the asia cup in march) and outside cricket (he was rested through most of the champions league and did not play county this year) has very little to do with cricket. the physio had only decided not to play him the fifth day after the end of the fourth day's match when they went back in. maybe shakib reallys need a break these next few weeks for very important personal reasons and whether we like it or not we have to accept that he has a personal life too.

Bangladesh is playing ODI without Shakib after allmost 4.5 years time.

The Daily Star:
[Shakib] last missed a match for Bangladesh in July 2008 against Pakistan in Karachi. The seven matches he has missed so far for Bangladesh since his debut in August 2006 have all been because of his responsibilities as a student sitting for his intermediate exams; this is the first through injury.

Now that the load of the team is off his shoulders.... Would like to see how he performs without that pressure. One would expect that he will perform much better than what he has done so far with all those pressure.... Best of luck and get well soon.

Don't worry he will fail to perform so that you guys can come right away and question his commitment.. Wish you good luck so that you can prove your point and be happy !!!

Why do you think that I'm here to prove any point against him. Why wouldn't I want a better team with better performing Shakib and you would...?? ....
