লম্বা সময়ের জন্য বিশ্রামে যেতে হবে কি না, সেটা জেনে যাওয়ার কথা ছিল আজই। কিন্তু সাকিব আল হাসানকে অপেক্ষায় থাকতে হচ্ছে আরও। ডান পায়ের শিন বোনে চোটের ব্যাপারে আরও নিশ্চিত হতে কাল হাড়ের যে পরীক্ষাটি করার কথা ছিল, হরতালের কারণে সেটি করা যায়নি। একই কারণে সেটি হয়তো হবে না আজও।

বিসিবির চিকিৎসক দেবাশীষ চৌধুরী গতকাল জানান, হাড়ের এই পরীক্ষা একটু জটিল ও সময়সাপেক্ষ। পুরো পরীক্ষাটি শেষ করতে ঘণ্টা চারেকের মতো সময় লাগবে। পরবর্তী করণীয় ঠিক করতে যত দ্রুত সম্ভব এই পরীক্ষা করা দরকার বলে মনে করেন তিনি। বলেন, ‘এর কোনো বিকল্প নেই। কাল (আজ) না হলেও পরশুর মধ্যে যেভাবেই হোক টেস্টটা করে ফেলতে হবে।’

but I am.very confused abt his injury.
due to injury he didnt play WI odis, didnt have any surgery ,then played BPL, again missed few matches due to injury,again came back and played two back to back matches with success but at the same time we r reading on news papers that he might miss Sri tour.
so what us exactly happening ? I understand every one wants him, he is such a key player but bery confusing and hope Sak knows what he is doing.

 পুরোপুরি চোটমুক্ত না হওয়ায় গত মাসের মাঝামাঝি সময়ে জাতীয় দলের ফিজিও বিভব সিং বিসিবিকে জানিয়েছিলেন, সাকিব বিপিএল খেলার মতো ফিট নন। তবু কেন বিপিএলে খেলছেন তিনি?

বাংলাদেশ দলের জিম্বাবুয়ে সফরের সময়ই হবে আইপিএল। টেস্টের জন্য আনফিট আর টি-টোয়েন্টির জন্য ফিট মানে সাকিব জিম্বাবুয়েতে টেস্ট না খেললেও আইপিএল খেলতে পারবেন! বিসিবি সেটা সহজে মানবে বলে মনে হয় না। ‘জাতীয় স্বার্থ আগে। কেউ আইপিএল খেলবে কিন্তু টেস্ট খেলবে না, খেলায় এ ধরনের ভাগাভাগি আমরা চাই না। ফিট না হলে পুরোপুরিই রেস্টে চলে যেতে হবে’—বলেছেন জালাল ইউনুস।

^Agree with Jalal Yunus there. You won't play Tests because of injury, but still want to play in IPL? No way. Either you play the tests or just be in complete rest.

চিকিত্সার জন্য অস্ট্রেলিয়ায় যাবেন সাকিব

বিসিবির মেডিকেল কমিটির দেওয়া ব্যবস্থাপত্রে কাজ হয়নি। ডান পায়ের শিনবোনের চিকিত্সার জন্য সাকিব আল হাসানকে তাই বিদেশে যেতেই হচ্ছে। গতকাল মেডিকেল কমিটিও সেই সুপারিশই করেছে। এখন অপেক্ষা বিশেষজ্ঞ চিকিত্সকের অ্যাপয়েন্টমেন্ট ও ভিসার। এ দুটি নিশ্চিত হয়ে গেলেই অস্ট্রেলিয়ার উদ্দেশে উড়াল দেবেন জাতীয় দলের এই অলরাউন্ডার।
বিসিবির ক্রিকেট পরিচালনা বিভাগের উপব্যবস্থাপক শরিফুল ইসলাম জানিয়েছেন, ‘অস্ট্রেলিয়ায় সাকিব কোন ডাক্তার দেখাবেন, কবে দেখাবেন, বিসিবির চিকিত্সকেরা এখন এসব বিষয়ে নিশ্চিত হবেন। একই সঙ্গে ভিসা নেওয়ার প্রক্রিয়াও চলবে। এসব হয়ে গেলে যত দ্রুত সম্ভব সাকিবকে অস্ট্রেলিয়ায় পাঠানো হবে।’
সব হয়ে গেলে বিপিএল চলাকালেও সাকিব দেশ ছাড়তে পারেন। বিপিএলের ফাইনাল ১৯ ফেব্রুয়ারি। চিকিত্সকের অ্যাপয়েন্টমেন্ট এবং ভিসা-প্রক্রিয়া শেষ হতে হতে বিপিএল শেষ হয়ে যাওয়ার সম্ভাবনাই বেশি।
অস্ট্রেলিয়ায় যাওয়ার সিদ্ধান্তে আসন্ন শ্রীলঙ্কা সফরে সাকিব এখন অনিশ্চিত। প্রধান নির্বাচক আকরাম খানও সে আভাস দিলেন, ‘ও (সাকিব) কবে খেলায় ফিরতে পারবে, সেটা বোঝা যাবে সেখানে তার কী রকম চিকিত্সা হয় এবং চিকিত্সার পর বিশ্রামটা কত দিনের হয়, তার ওপর। শ্রীলঙ্কা সফরে যাওয়াটা তো একটু অনিশ্চিতই। তবে আমরা সুস্থ সাকিবকেই আগে চাই। সুস্থ হওয়ার পর সামনে যে খেলা থাকবে, সেটাই সে খেলবে।’

If he was injured for last couple of weeks then what the need to play in BPL ? Why BCB did not consult with Doc and make arrangement before ? Now, by the time he gets visa and appointment, he may also play till BPL. My guess is BPL governing body did not want to lose Shakib's presence in BPL since its has already lost star players and on the other hand, shakib also did not want to lose the opportunity of earning big bucks in BPL. The end result, both BPL and Shakib happy, but we general fans are sad since we prefer country to clubs !

What did he do during his rest days? He didn't play for long time before BPL started.

I think its fair to say Shakib or the media, journalist should stop reporting about his so called injury. I think its best that he live's with injury and plays with it unless alternatives are found such that his injury could be resolved. He has entered the league of Mashrafe although I believe Mashrafe has more stress on his body knowing that Pacers have to work extra hard. I can recall recently that even Stuart Broad plays with pain.

Agree with most who say that Tests over IPL any day. However given his injury is that caused by repeated stress on his shins, it's understandable that Test bowling with at least 20+ overs that he'd bowl on any given day + batting for 1-2 sessions (30 overs) is way more stressful than bowling 4 overs and batting a max of 20 overs.
