He was registered in the squad since the beginning of the season in case he might come and play.

But I think it would be better off him to not play in the IPL for just 2 dead rubber matches.

No one in Bangladesh gives a damn about the celebrities. No one even knows or want to know how many marriages folk-star Momtaz has gone through

It has been learned that most of the IPL teams have called for all the players in the pool for next year’s auction.
Link

Not sure how reliable this is, but I hope it's true. Shakib needs a new team. If this turns out to be true, Shakib will go for a much bigger price tag than last time.

I'd watch IPL if Shakib ends up with RCB, or CSK. But that being said, those two teams might not be the same. They could turn out to be the next KKR.

And what's with this auction and reauction every other season. Where is that fool who said IPL has rivalry? No wonder idiots like in my avatar gets upset when they get booed. Obviously even the cricketers don't get this so called rivalry.

If this is true then I should add Shak in my club's roster here in Minnesota.
Our season just started last weekend.....good timing from Shak's part. He can stay fit playing cricket while visiting his shoshur bari.

It's that time of the year when everyone living in the UK start acting like they are his parents.

Shakib is a grown *** man. On top of that, he's an establish WW superstar. He doesn't need you to take care of him.

Who treated him and acted like his parent?

Was it not Shakib who wanted to come to London because he felt isolated as most of his friends are living in London.

Was it not Shakib who regularly visited one of the desi restaurant in Worcester ?

Was it not Shakib who told Prothom-Alo, he wished he was married. Well now he got his wish.

BTW I did not watch a single match Shakib played for Worcester and I doubt any BC members did.

Please put this UK khedmoti and US khedmoti to one side. I really like to visit USA one day but when I read your post like this I get worried, will I be starved to death.

There is a massive difference between US culture and BD culture.

You have to understand, that unlike the US, here wearing skimpy clothes, having tattoos, drinking, are not socially accepted. In the same way, the US people find the activity of some of the people in BD lame, and so on. There are cultural barriers, respect it.

Go back in this thread to the time when he started playing CC. People were posting about how they should invite Shakib over to their house, or send him food or hang out with him, as if Shakib needs or knows them. He's a celebrity, not a regular joe from visiting the UK. Yes, he's Bangladeshi, and there are hardly enough WW celebrities from there, so I guess people don't know how to act towards one.

There is a difference between visiting a desi restaurant and eating some strangers' food left at your door, or some random guy asking him to come over to his place.

IDK what he wanting to get married has to do with anything I said.

This is where you get my post all wrong. I don't mean khedmot is bad. And I don't think BD people in the US are any different than UK ones. You can come to the US and you will find khedmot, but you are not a superstar, there's the difference.

Shakib al Hasan is a big deal, and on top of that, he's very independent. Not your typical BD guy, living with his parents.

Again it looks like you are not getting what I'm trying to get at. Obviously you think Shakib should have a normal relationship with you and I joes, as if he's some Al Shahariar Rokon or Rajin Saleh.

iDumb, you should to send some home cooked meal to your lover Jolie.

It ain't no street cricket, son!!!
There are 26 teams in the league. Our team, GMCC, was formed by us 4 Bangladeshis 15 years ago and are part of the premier league consisting 10 teams. This is 2nd division cricket of US. We have been in the 40 over playoffs last two years in a row and 2011 T20 champion. Last year we didn't do too well in T20 so we need Shak.
