The Pakistan-bound second batch of Bangladesh A team players suffered a five-wicket defeat against the Bangladesh Under-19 squad in a limited-overs practice match at the BKSP yesterday.

The A team were bundled out for 94 after being put in to bat with number nine batsman Shanto Junior top-scoring with 35.

In reply, the under-19s reached the target in 26 overs.

I think the U-19 bowlers just took the advantage of the winter season's dew in the morning and when it was time to bat second, with all the sun around, the wicket lost all the moistures and it became a belter of a pitch to bat on.
