ঢাকা: পুনে ওয়ারিয়র্সে দর্শক হয়ে আছেন তামিম ইকবাল। খেলার সুযোগ না পেলেও নিয়মিতই অনুশীলন করেন। জাতীয় দলের এই ক্রিকেটার মোবাইলফোনে বাংলানিউজকে জানালেন, আগের চেয়েও তার ফিটনেস এখন ভালো। ব্যাটিংয়ের টেকনিক নিয়েও কাজ করছেন। শিখছেন অনেক কিছু।

প্রশ্ন: পুনেতে আপনার সময় কিভাবে কাজে লাগাচ্ছেন। খুব বেড়াতে যান বুঝি?

তামিম: পুনে ওয়ারিয়র্সের নিজস্ব স্টেডিয়াম আছে, দলের অন্যদের সাথে অনুশীলন করি। ফিটনেস লেভেল আগের চেয়ে বেড়েছে। কয়েক কেজি ওজনও কমেছে। খেলার মধ্যে না থাকলেও ব্যাটিং প্র্যাকটিসে অনেক সময় দেই। দেশে থাকলে হয়তো অত বেশি অনুশীলন করা হতো না।

প্রশ্ন: যেদিন দলের খেলা থাকে সেদিন কি করেন। মাঠে যান?

তামিম: আমাদেরকেও মাঠে নিয়ে যাওয়া হয়। মুম্বাই, বেঙ্গালুরু এবং চেন্নাইয়ে গিয়েছিলাম। যারা খেলছি না, তারাও দলের সাথে নেট সেশন করি। মাঠে বসে খেলা দেখি।

প্রশ্ন: আইপিএল খেলতে গিয়ে কেমন অভিজ্ঞতা সঞ্চয় করছেন?

তামিম: খুব ভালো। একজন মনোবিদ আছেন যিনি ইন্ডিয়ান টিমের সাথেও চার বছর কাজ করেছেন। তিনি আমাকে খুব সাহায্য করছেন। অনেক সময় দেন। এছাড়া দলের মিটিংয়েও থাকি। সেখানে প্রত্যেক খেলোয়াড় তাদের মতামত দেন। খেলা নিয়ে পর্যালোচনা করেন। আমার কাছেও মাঝে মাঝে জানতে চাওয়া হয়। খেলা দেখার সময় কোনো সমস্যা আমার চোখে পড়েছে কি না। অনেক ভালো ভালো আলোচনা হয় টিম মিটিংয়ে। যা থেকে আমি অনেক কিছু শিখছি।

প্রশ্ন: আপনাদের দল তো খুব ভালো করছে। আপনাকে দল থেকে কোন কিছু বলেনি?

তামিম: যখন খেলতে এসেছি তখন দলের যাতে ভালো হয় আমি তাই করবো। পুনে সফল হলে তার কৃতিত্ব আমিও পাবো। খারাপ করলেও দায় নিতে হবে। অতএব টিম ম্যানেজমেন্ট যে সিদ্ধান্ত নেবে তা আমি সাদরে গ্রহণ করবো। খেলার সুযোগ এলে খেলবো। আমি চেষ্টা করছি ফিট থাকতে। এখানে ৪০-৪৫ দিন থাকতে হবে। কে কিভাবে সময়টা কাজে লাগাবে সেটা তার ওপর নির্ভর করে। সেপ্টেম্বরে টি-টোয়েন্টি বিশ্বকাপ, অনেক বড় একটা আসর। তার জন্য আমাকে তৈরি থাকতে হবে। প্র্যাকটিস না করলে আমার ক্ষতি হবে। এই বিষয়গুলো মাথায় রেখে আমি কাজ করছি।

প্রশ্ন: এই কয়দিনে নিশ্চয়ই আপনার অনেক বন্ধু হয়েছে?

তামিম: কয়েক জনের সাথে আমার ভালো বন্ধুত্ব হয়েছে। তারা ভারতের ক্রিকেটার। তাদের সাথেই বেশি সময় কাটে। তবে খেলোয়াড়দের বাইরে কোন বন্ধু হয়নি। মানুষজনের সাথে মেশার সুযোগও কম।

প্রশ্ন: অবসরে কি করেন। কোথাও বেড়াতে যান?

তামিম: ওই ভাবে বললে কোথাও বেড়াতে যাওয়া হয়নি। সময় সুযোগ পেলে হলে গিয়ে সিনেমা দেখি। এই কয়দিনে অনেকগুলো সিনেমাও দেখা হয়ে গেছে।

At the end of the day justice is served. NZ selectors just said "he is far away from getting into the NZ national team" eventhough he's done so well in the IPL.

But I got say, Ryder is one crazy sociopath. I would stear clear of this guy.

I hope Tamim utilised his opportunity to learn a few new things about batting by facing international bowlers in the nets. The thing is Pune doesnt have a world class pace bowler in the team. If they did it would have benefited Tamim as he would have been able to tweak some things in his game.

Doing this for 'practise' would also let him have some fun and he will be able to learn a few things in the process. He could also be discussing with the bowler about aspects in the bowling and what to do in certain circumstances etc.

Unconfirmed report: Tamim was seen practising hard for 2 hours with Ganguly and Donald before the Warriors' flight to Cuttack for their next match against the Deccan Chargers on Sunday, May 1.

He should replace Samuels. Don't understand why they continue to alternate between "allrounders" like Matthews, Samuels, and Wright. These guys are all bits and pieces players. Their not going to win you matches and now their luck is running out. Even Ryder just connected only twice and the rest of the times he's gotten out very cheaply. So they should give Tamim a try if they want to try and be in the semi finals. Without Tamim in the lineup, they won't go to the semis. Other teams have much more star power.

Samuels will not be available as he got the call to play the test against aus. so i suppose tamim will get the only chance before clarke comes in

nop..they can have 11 foreigners in the team for yuvraj's replacement where other teams can have only 10, but they can't play more than 4

people are mixing up these 2 things

pune can have one extra foreign player means they can have one extra in the dugout,not in the playing XI

i don't know if all teams agreed or not but i've only heard that mumbai indian may object 2 that.if all teams agree then they can play 4 foreign players+clarke bcoz clarke's d replacement 4 yuvi.they can't play 5 foreign players excluding clarke even if all teams agree.as clarke's absent till now,d question of 5 foreigners didn't arise

look at the release date of the article you gave link to me...its done and dusted..All teams haven't agreed on pune playing 5 overseas..so they cant play 5 overseas,clark's arrival has noting to do with it
