You are refering to the recent (this year?) research at the NIH that did a double blind study on polyphenols? But that was on BP particularly. There are other articles that report research on other positives. Of course, the downside is how much you drink.

I wasn't specifically referring to this year's study (thanks for the heads up-was unaware of this) but studies conducted over the years so to speak(I don't remember the actual study designs now, it has been about 3 years since I last looked into it)-some doctors supported the theory(with no evidence to back it up-it was more hearsay) but others especially experts in the field (the main guy I'm referring to has been in the research aspect of this for 39 years and was our dean's supervisor incidentally) specifically involved in research into polyphenols as you mentioned and the process of ageing vehemently denied and opposed it ( this happened at uni anyhow-)

The sources of polyphenols were mentioned and the fact that was highlighted was that the amount of red wine needed for the minimal amount of polyphenol/resevratrol for health benefits (they discussed BP, atheroscelrosis and overall concept of reactive oxygen species being involved in many of the organ damage pathways which is equated with "ageing") was extremely high, to the point one would become cirrhotic to say the least.

This is what we were taught-

On a different note I thought Tamim and kamal were mortal enemies

Please give him a break. Who cares if he drinks wine or beer or whatever he feels like drinking. It's his own life and he has all the rights to do what he wants to do..Being a celebrity doesn't make him a zombie..

I think its an energy drink..could be a cocktail but I don't care..

Haha Tamim looks blasted in that picture. Looks like he was having a good time there. Good for him. As fans, we shouldn't care about what he drinks or smokes. It's his life in the end and he's a grown up.I doubt it's only Tamim also. I think many of the Bangladeshi players drink.

The fact that he's with Loitta's daughter is far more disconcerting to me than the mystery beverage. No wonder Loitta threw him out of the team. Also, I'm glad that he left Pune nice and early. If not, he'd have been detained with Sharma and Parnell at that Coke party.
