His performance has been pathetic so far as a t20 opener. He needs to find his magic and turn it around ASAP.

Dhurr! I made him the captain of my Fantasy T20 team and now I'm suffering!

He's becoming day by day a disgrace in t20. Although guy who celebrates like a baby after just a fifty and never thinks of getting that hundred in test or odi whatever. What can you expect from him? To be honest he's a stupid cricketer and very much overrated. It is more now like his uncle's run.

Before the match I said he is our best batsman though he failed last match. Keep confidence on him. In the match he showed why he is called our best batsman.

Now, every one's entitle to his opinion, however shallow and ill thought out it may be, but some of the opinions out there are simply too embarrassing because they're coming from our own kind in a public forum accessible by anyone who happens to be online.
First of all, other than the 9 ball duck Tamim has not been doing that badly in this tour so far. He could be doing better and he knows that very well. He has very high expectations of himself and hates personal failure. Unlike some of the others, he actually works hard on his own to rectify mitigating issues. For example he worked hard with Coach Salahuddin to reinvent himself after a string of failures after his spectacular debut in the 2007 WC.
Why is he out of rhythm in this format? Consider the following.
He was benched during almost of BPL and the all of IPL and simply hasn't played enough T20 as some of the others in the team. Add a tentative new opening partner who seems happy to pass the buck and create extra pressure on him during powerplays. Naturally he needs more time to find his T20 rhythm and work things out with his new partner, and this tour is as good an opportunity as any to do that.
The talk of benching him and trying someone far less likely to succeed based on both ability and potential makes no sense to me. There is simply no LHB alternative to Tamim Iqbal Khan right now or the foreseeable future when we consider going for a left right opening combination.
So let us all be a little less trigger happy and a little more patient when we can easily afford to be.

Except of his ego part, nothing left for what I regain my likings for Tamim now. Moreover making a in form batsman run out is really stupid thing to do. He proved himself, he is not a t20-type. Thats still the only story of his International part, I wonder how well he will play in slpl, wheather anymore contract left for him there to take part in ipl.

its because most of them are Ash-loves. Whenever ash scores 10s or 20s ppl start claiming that he is one of our better T20 batsman. After our poor start to each innings, they needed to find someone to blame and hence victimize tamimma

if you say this then same goes for ash..but i think people were blaming him not for the lack of runs but for the SR and carrying on..its just one match but tamim still looks out of short in t20..lets see now

lol at the reasoning between with tamim hating, tamim didnt get even half as much hate as Ash did, and lol if you quote tamims recent scores, people will quote you with ashs recent scores which are just as consistent... anyway congratulations to Tamim for carrying on and finishing the game for us!

Uposthith. 50+ innings Big Whoop. Unfortunately one 50+ innings against Dutch doesn't prove much. Check Tamim's T20 record. Now if Tamim can bat like this, leading up to the world cup and continue through than this 50+ innings will mean something in the sense that he learned from his mistake in T20. Otherwise back to square 1.
Also no one hates Tamim, everyone wants what's best for the team. You play terrible shots to get out over and over again, there is nothing wrong with calling him out to be dropped.

Stop making random comments playmaker. I love both Tamim and Ash and i defend Ash because sometimes match winning scores he make go unnoticed here on BC. But today Tamim has played a good knock. So im happy. I agree with Night_wolf though. This format doesnt suit Tamim in my opinion. But i would like for him to still play in it and prove me wrong. To me Tamim is a Test, ODI batsmen.
This is Tamim's recent T20 scores
69, 26, 39, 0, 31, 13, 38
This is Ash's recent T20 scores
6, 24, 38, 15, 40, 19, 33, 38
Besides the 69 that Tamim scored they have both been performing pretty similarly. So dont make up bs Playmaker.

Couldn't agree more. Also don't forget that he was dropped in the very first over. Part of the game I know but he might not get that lucky against big guys..
Nowadays I am scared to even say that so and so player didn't perform today. I'll be labelled as a hater here in BC sooner than you can even imagine. That's why I try not to criticise Ash. I did it once and was not pretty. Criticisize korlei hater hoy na, we really need to understand that..
