Nice innings today, he's cemented his spot for the WC too. The good thing about TI is although he plays slow the first few overs (he should improve on that though), he is capable of accelerating extremely fast.

don't think there was much chance of tamim being dropped despite his poor t20 record, he's been our best and most reliable opener for 5 or so years now so he is a proven performer but i'm glad he finally got some decent runs, we need him to do this a lot more often.

Some good shots but a pretty poor innings in my opinion. First he gave a sitter of a catch and was dropped on 2. Secondly he kept charging out of the crease looking for boundaries and should have been stumped. What I expect from a world class opener is to play good shots with minimal risk. As far as I am concerned he got away in this innings because the opposition is Netherlands. We need to see a much much better version of Tamim in the WC.

was nice to see finally Tamim getting his fifty and finishing the game.
Was lucky at the beginning but in teaTwenty u need some of that,
good that he capitalized on that.
Hope he continues from here on.

Good knock, hopefully these two t20 fiftys will kick start his t20 career well and hopefully Tamim Iqbal goes on to be a big success from now on in this format.

The Tamim haterz are some Ashraful lovers finding a scapegoat to as to put all the blame on tamim and not Mr. Ful

He is still the best opener in BD by a mile, no1 comes close. to ashraful and his blind fans

He slowed down yesterday because of other culprits ...but the 50 went in vain and looked bad as the team could not put respectable total...Hey if Sir Ash is scapeboat why can't he be? There are other culprits too for yesterday's match but they are hiding

Sad thing is when ash scored his run a ball 50 in zim, or if he played the innings tamim played, everyone would be saying ash put pressure on everyone and thats why they got out and ash was playing selfish for his 50... i am NOT critiscing tamim, he tried his best to accelerate but it just didnt happen, but glad to seem hi scoring back to back 50s.

What an innings from Tamim! Didn't give a single sniff of a wicket to the opposition. Extraordinary domination!

It was an absolute joy to watch him bat this evening. Chanceless 93*, nothing streaky and pure class

The only chance for Uthura to prosper is for shakib to come back. Shakib is better than all their batsman and def. better than all their bowlers, better than murali atm
