What happened to his powerful slog sweeps!! That is what made him mighty effective against swan in england and harbhajan in bangladesh... all of a sudden he couldnt play that shot against hafeez and became his bunny... havent seen him playing that shot much since england...

Gd old days...now he playes reverse sweep and inside out, which is bit risky than playing Slog sweep...

Um... You are mistaken. Playing inside out with the spin is the safe option against off spinners as opposed to playing the slog sweep which is against the spin which is a high risk shot.

Playing slog sweep against an offi is always risky, rather reverse sweep against an offi is risk free. Don't know what Tamin is practicing these days but ideally he should practice reverse sweep against an offi and slog sweep against an sla or leggi.

Tamim is tied with Shakib Al Hasan as most run scorer (954) in T20 matches by a Bangladeshi cricketer playing 30 match less than Shakib.

3.2 Senanayake to Tamim Iqbal, OUT, Tamim loses his head and his wicket, he needed to buckle down here after the wickets of Chandimal and Mahela, he charges down the ground blindly, looks for an almighty heave, nowhere near the ball, the keeper has an eternity to take the bails off and send Tamim on his way, poor batting that

Seriously, I do hope when chasing this big total in World T20 Tamim doesn't throw away his wicket like that. But knowing his Hitting nature. He might probably play unsensibly.

Shob match ei bhalo khelte hobe emon kono kotha nai kintu ajke ja korlo eita khoma kora jaina .. When your team has just lost 2 consecutive wickets and you are there as a well set batsman why the hell would you try that extravagant shot rather than playing cautiously??!!! etto bochhorer cricket career er shob shikhhai bartho.. I wouldn't have cared much for a SLPL innings but I know Tamim will make the same mistake for BD team as well .. These are the stupid mistakes BD players make and that's the reason world doesn't show confidence in our player.. Despite having the ability we will always be a minnow

I think his role in the team is to be the aggressor, a la Sehwag/Warner etc. Can't blame him for this collapse. Although it's awful to see him throw away wickets like that, he's a guy who can bat throughout if he wants to without even taking any risks.

After watching him play well in Lanka against good spinners, I seriously thought Tamim had finally learned from the Mohammad Hafeez experience, and learned to play cleverly scripted slow bowling. His antsy charge down the track was a moment for me.

off course there is a lot of difference between, one big difference is if Tamim wants to remain not out he will remain not out for a long time, if Ash wants to remain not out he will still get out.
He is SLPL's 3rd top scorer so far,5 runs less than 2nd best Dilshan & 13 runs less than 1st boy Kamran, average 38 & SR of 137 better than the other two.
I don't see Ash doing that although that's a guess.(but we now what to expect from Ash)
Other little records for Tamim are:
-the biggest six of 102 m
-highest number of sixes in the trnmnt , 9 sixes
-most sixes in an innings : 6 sixes
