Tamim is not in good frame of mind for last 2 years. He needs to work with this.
Though I am not surprised with this. Someone having Akram, the FAT, khan as chacha is not supposed to have good thinking brain.

Tamim's attitude doesn't suite the test matches.... He must go out and fix his problem of mind...we can't afford to have a pinch hitter opening the test match ....period.

He just doesn't care, he knows there is no one better than him to be replaced by (not when you have players like SN, Nazim etc making the team and garnering more criticism), and his 'chacha' always being there to veto anything going against him like the US-Israel relation.

Fame, bhuri, lack of competition(from teammates), poor fitness, application, thought process
Hard to pick one reason for his failures

Used to think he would be one of the players to take our team somewhere in tests, guess not.

The Team is surrounded by genius selectors, brilliant coaches, talented management with MBA from Harvard. Tamim is bound to impress us all.

but to be fair with Tamim when u have to open or bat with guys like Junaid,Khocha Nafis,Sir Nazza, sir Aish,Kaedge (sauf odis) you are bound to have some problems with your mindset.
opening an innings is a huge responsibility facing the new ball and the best biwlers of the opposition team.
I think its a worse job than Ryad who finds Nasir or Mushy to partner with or even the Raju is better than the walking wckts of our top order.

Actually hated that reverse at that situation it was a poor shot selection.....that attitude was the reason of lack of concentration and his downfall ...sorry that was no test batting... He was looking like a T20 player opening in Test cricket. Gives a very poor impression of one's class as a batsman...as such the team...

Funny how no one mentioned a word when he played those exact type of reverse sweeps during his India and England whooping days. I didn't catch the shot live, but after reading the comments on MT I had to check it out myself. The first attempt was ridiculous and premeditated obviously. But the 2nd one wasn't anything out of the ordinary because he has played those shots with control in the past.
What really bothered me was when he went for that heave against Edwards esp after Sammy put a man on the drive just to prove a point.

He need some good batting coach. The ball which got him out showed his lack of technique. He went to back foot while he needed to come to front foot.
But the problem is he is too arrogant to admit his faults and doesn't have the will to work to fix them. Pathetic!

The problem has always been in the attitude of Tamim. You see how well he did in the Asia Cup when his a** was on the line? Look at the rest of the top order batsmen in the team. You think he would have the attitude he had if other top order batsmen were scoring more than him? He knows that there aren't others that can challenge him when it comes to run scoring. Is this the right attitude to have? Hell no but that's human nature for you. If your a** isn't on the line then there isn't as much motivation and its the case a lot more with our guys. That's why if Anamul can perform better than him then I'll bet you Tamim will perform a lot better than he is now.
