Umm, okay; not technichal, but tempermental I would say. (actually I just wanted to use the ''lungi-dropping'' clause somewhere ).

Why do you find it hard to believe that he is only 20 yrs old? He looks young and dashing, and is BD's most dashing batsman.
Technically, he is still not that sound, but he has learnt how to protect his wicket, more importantly, he is learning how to build and manage an innings, and this comes with maturity. If he can continue to curb his impatience, build an innings slowly, then he will be BD's greatest batsman, because he still has youth and Inshallah, by the time he is in his mid twenties, he should score more centuries in Tests and ODIs.
IMO, from his words, he is on the right track.

LOL. Man this guy is awesome. I could just sit here and read each of his hilarious posts with utmost pleasure. His frequent murder of the English language is truly something to behold.

I'm assuming he's one of those 'English-medium' graduates - speaking Bangla is a sin to them.

Now you aren't trying to generalize all the English medium students, are you?

Doesn't make sense. One would expect English medium students to do better justice to the language of the "Ingrej", no?

Yes our Bangla medium bros are keeping the flame of our language alive right? Talk about engaging in gross stereotyping. As Asif & Gopal will tell you, don't be hating! Willes represent!

Wow its that same "bangla-medium"/"english-medium" debate all over again. I hear it every now and then where ever I go. I haven't grown up in BD, so I guess I can safely make a comment about what I observed. Usually the "bangla-medium" guys start this debate lol. Not saying its a good or bad thing, just that thats how it goes every time lol.
Any ways guys, calm down and take a chill pill!

This thread is here in honour of Tamim Iqbal Khan and let's keep it that way.
Now that is school holidays and I've got lots of spare time on me, I'm looking to try and make a video of all his great batting performances and maybe some of his fielding. Will keep an update of it as I look to start on it soon.

another scholastican here... well I studied in a bangla medium till class 6 and did o levels overseas and a levels in scholastica... i had the best of both worlds... the sweeter ones were from bangla medium days coz i was just a kid but, m grateful to english medium as well... consider myself extremely lucky... now an IT professional.. and i have tremendous respect for both mediums...
the best thing to do in bangladesh is convert the english medium schools to syllabus of bangla medium schools but in english... not saying that english medium school syllabus are bad but there has to be compatibility, now both syllabus are completely different and one focuses on something and the other another thing...
k guys... back to cricket?

The cricket team had started to suck ever since I had started playing, back in the late nineties. Prior to that, there was a time when five of our players made it to the national U-19 team.
Are they any good these days?
