Lets get it straight. A county team can........
1- Sign maximum of 4 Overseas players per season.
2- Only one of the four at any stage can participate in county matches at any stage (4 day match)
3- Only one of the four at any stage can participate in One day 40 over tournament
4- But 2 OS player are allowed for T-20 tournament.
Possible team with FP T20 slot for 2 overseas player.
Durham: Durham signed only 1 player
Kent: Have signed no overseas player this season
Lancashire: Have signed only 1 player for the whole season and that's Farveez Mahroof. If situation arises where Farveez will be needed for Srilanka against England then they will have no overseas player in their book.
Leicestershire: Signed 1 player whole season. Doubt its them . because they normally go for Aussie or Saffer .
Surrey: Have a 1 overseas slot available.
Warwickshire: Will have 2 slots available for FPT20 and 1 for the rest of the season.
Yorkshire: Have 2 slots. but have too many home grown talent. Since Yorkshire have started to work with local deshi boys. And if they do go for an OS player. They tend to go long term.

You can add Derbyshire to that list as Khwaja makes an early exit due to International duty.
And take Leicestershire out of the equation as Irfan Pathan signs for them http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cricket/13507429.stm?

A deal would've been done by now if he was going to play. Another BS news.

They are weighing up whether Tamim is one or two players-unfortunately the voracious attacks on Tamim's weight via BC has probably led them to worry about his fitness
Tamim's not as fat as we'd like him to be so he bears the brunt of the the jokes

There are other players in English County circuit who are big. Positive thing for T20 games perspective most of them hit ball quite hard and respected by other bowlers in the county circuit but not by the close fielders.
I am quite certain whichever county Tamim may play it will be mainly for T20

Now Lancashire may not have an OS player fro the duration of T20 as Mahroof gets called up as expected.

Guys, there never was a deadline.
If there is any news, we'd hear it on time.
Have some patience.
Who knows, probably negotiation is going on and just to be on the safer side, Tamim is not disclosing anything at the moment, given how IPL and SLPL didnt work out for him.
Tamim himself disclosed the news earlier to the media, so fair chance this was no BS.

I'm happy for Tamim if he gets IPL or not, it will make him work harder (to try get into IPL) or it will make him better (if he goes IPL)

It will help players play 90 mph+ bowlers more often. It is also crucial if players want to perform well in places like NZ + Eng.

According to Ittefaq Tamim has lost 5kg weight. He probably had enough bashing from BC-ites.
