Are they openers? Think before you type.

I don't think they rate him that high now. He scored one quickfire 50 and that too in 2007 (5 years ago). Some years ago he scored a century in one of the test. Beside that, he hasn't done anything special against India.

Look at Warner and how he blasted two centuries back to back against SL. If it was Tamim, we would forever brag about those two innings and say that SL will always have an eye on him for the rest of his career.

Every naysayers (BD) would be happy if he can maintain that type of average. But reality is a little different. I am not sure the confidence he has can produce that type of turnaround. Plus he would face Pak again which may bring some nightmares.

I would like to see him sit out this series. May be sort things out what is bothering inside his brains first. Internation cricket is not where one needs to seek back his form. Go back to Domestic cricket and get your grove on there where the pressure to perform is less. Intl cricket is not the place for that. You have to produce in intl. One standard for everyone in the team. Be it Ash, Mash or Tamim. Then only a clear message goes to the remaining bunch.

haha... just like we brag about that special 100 against Australia many many years ago. This bragging will not stop unless we see those type of special innings on a daily basis. Till then lets enjoy the ride

Now that he is back on, he needs to concentrate on one thing and one thing only. Just, bat baby. Forget about everything in the past. I hope this gives him a bit of perspective as well. He definitely needs to be a bit humble and if he wants to remain arrogant, let it be his bat and not the mouth. Also, train harder and focus on what made him once one of the best young attacking player in world. This whole last year should be a big wake up call for him.

ki ar hobay!! Tamim will blame all the hoopla against him for losing concentration. Others would say, 'bolsilam pola'tar chamra mota hoiye gasey (me), ekta shikkha dewa dorkar chilo'. Blind fans would bring stats of his previous heroics. etc. etc.

True .. এমনিতেই out of form তার উপর এখন extra pressure যোগ হলো..

Dealing with pressure and burden should be handled in professional way especially in such a highest level of cricket and one of the best batsmen in the team..I know we can't make everyone like Shakib...but can take that lesson from him...imagine even with all the hoplas with Lottus how Shakib retain back his #1 spot and still has the Ice man smile. This strength is necessary among all other 10 players in our team. Tamim can do it and play the game as if it's a fresh new start...agree if he can't deal with this pressure he will become Ashraful.

Tamim,
Asia cup is about to start. So, good luck to you Here is something for You..a walk down memory lane..

Comment From Gautam
One endearing memory of 2007 is how he walked up and congratulated Tamim Iqbal and gave him a bat after he destroyed our bowling-the true sportsman -He and Anil Kumble and of course Sachin and Lakshman make it the "gentle man's" game.Lets emulate these towering sportsmen of a now bygone era
