Tamim eyes consistency in the big league
- Shishir Hoque

As IPL franchise Pune Warriors confirmed the services of Bangladesh batsman Tamim Iqbal on Wednesday, the star batsman became the only second Bangladesh player after Shakib Al Hasan to play in the elite T20 tournament.
Are you going to make me asking the same thing again? How the hell that Shishir Hoque got confirmation from Pune Warriors out of all the cricket journos in the world? Can we take his words?
Is it too hard to understand my question from the above posts?

Nope, he just claimed its official. His is the only source, so no no confirmation yet. Poor journalism! Sold the paper a few?!

Hmm....even last year there were rumours that KKR's planning to take Tamim in place of Haddin, but took Boucher in the end!

The CEO of the IPL had this to say about Tamim:

So I guess we need to be patient before an official announcement is made!

So, okay, it's almost official. Pune has asked tamim as replacement. Now, a go from IPL committee will secure his place, I guess.

So it seems the Daily Sun reporter Shishir Hoque was highly proactive in getting that interview quickly out of Tamim.

Harsha bhogle has always been a loud advocate of Tamim Iqbal and expressed his disappointment in TI not getting picked during past couple of IPL edition (during the auction day).

I thought he said 'good choice' after mentioning MC and TI.

Dont take things too personally. Harsha said KOB is better than some of the foreign players being chosen, but not necessarily he was pointing out at TI.

Tamim is our fifth Tiger to play in the IPL. Razzak (Bangalore), Mash (Punjab), Ashraful (Mumbai) and ofcourse Shak (Kolkata) are the other 4.

Also, note this:

Agreed.

Harsha Bhogle and Sanjay Manjrekar probably make for the only genuine supporters and well-wisher of Bangladesh cricket from our big-shot neighbour.

Sanjay is a shubidhabadi ! When BD plays good, he praises all of them, but when BD plays poor, none of our player is international standard. At least, Harsha says that Shakib and Tamim are world class player regardless how BD performs
