I always thought whenever he commentated during our matches, especially against India, he usually remained unbiased and neutral, and never backed out from saying good things. Though I did find it a bit odd (and uncharacteristically classless) of him to repeatedly suggest mainly on twitter and then on tv that our spinners cant turn the ball... :|

By the way, congrats to Tamim Iqbal.
Fortune favours the brave.
Hope he makes his mark in the IPL, paving the way for few more Bangladeshis in the future.

Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny? "We do not deny any of our Lord's bounties/favors upon us."
Pune Warriors have signed up Bangladesh batsman Tamim Iqbal, filling all their overseas slots for the coming season. Tamim, whose signing was formalised on Wednesday, became the eleventh overseas player for the Warriors and their second signing this week after Australian captain Michael Clarke.
Tamim and the franchise management, led by their captain Sourav Ganguly, had been involved in talks for the past week. He joins Shakib Al Hasan as the second Bangladesh player in this year's IPL, and the fifth from that country in the tournament overall.
"I can gain a lot of experience by playing with greats like Sourav Ganguly and Michael Clarke. I like to talk a lot about cricket so I think I am lucky to be playing with them and look forward to learn new things," Tamim told ESPNCricinfo.
"It'll be an extra boost, so it is very important that I do well. More importantly, just like Shakib opened the door for me, I would want that with my inclusion in the IPL, it will let other players from my country to play in this competition.
"With the T20 World Cup coming up this year, it will be a big opportunity for me to perform in the format," Tamim said.
Tamim would look to carry his form into the IPL - he hit four half-centuries in the recent Asia Cup - given his failure during the Bangladesh Premier League last month where he only played two matches for the Chittagong Kings and scored only eight runs.

#Tiger fans can circle down May 5 and May 19 on their calendars as Shakib's @KKRiders face Tamim's @punewarriorsipl on these two dates.
may 5 and 19 marked but the big question is like worcs and notts match will these two be selected at the same night?
IPL is also about big Business..so i guess Pune and KKR should pick Tamim and Shakib both in the staring XI for may 5 and 19...whole Bangladesh will be watching and thats a big number of people=big money
Why would a team have 12 overseas players when they can only play 4? All the other 8 will just warm the bench. I think Tamim will get 2-3 matches to play max.
I think Ganguly had a role in picking Tamim. He is little biased towards Bengalis, which is good for us. He claimed Ashok Dinda (from Bengal) to be the best young pacer in India. He wrote a column in Anandabazar after end of Asia cup and was full of praise of Shakib and Nasir. I am hoping he will give Tamim some chances.
Paileo ki hatti ghora korbe shetai dekhar bishoy. His t20 performance isn't that great. In the Asia cup also, he took his time to settle. Even run a ball innings is not good enough for IPL.
