I also liked the logo.

With the latest one, it is better than the original one, but nothing not fancy.
I'm just not a big fan of the original biman logo.
It desperately needs to be modernized.
They also need to come up with a brighter and more flashy version of Red and Green, not the mora version that we have at the moment.
i think a lot of airlines are using their original logos...AA, Lufthansa, PIA, etc. logo can stay the same but livery must be modernized and at least Biman has done that.

Wow this looks really good and sleek. I might consider Biman in my next flight. By the way, what airport is this?

This is the source of the picture posted. Please leave a comment for the photographer who uploaded originally. It will encourage him even more as this bird is getting more than few interest from around the world. This will be the first T777 bought by Biman and First of many A/C bought directly bought from Biman. History is about to be made by Biman, better late than never.

A/C will take the sky for the first time in 3 days time. Looking forward to it.

Biman buying brand new airplane first ever in our history? Looks good so far, wish to see our Tokyo flight resume soon. Last caretaker govt. did a good job in my book.

Looks alright.
Wish they had used the colours a bit more brighter and lighter.
The dark green looks black in broad daylight.

Biman have such a terrible image that it will not be a bad idea to start things afresh with a new logo and positive image.

I'm not saying a complete overhaul of the old logo, but something newer, something updated, something that still holds the same meaning, but adds value to the brand image of the organization with a positive, modern, vibrant, energetic outlook.

I thought this logo looked easy on the eyes

Only thing I'd have wanted to see how it looks with a red being the predominant colour.

Our age old Balaka looks a lot like Turkish Airlines logo, with ours being the block-printed 70's graphic.

I understand Its a life time journey for many of its passengers. Biman experiences that more often, so there is good reason for overall deterioration of service.

And corruption is another; from buying, leasing, ticketing, catering ... every where there is a way to make money ... Karon, "Lage Taka Debe Gouri Shen" ... they dont run on profit. And there is corruption in receiving budget deficits from even "Gouri Shen"

Yet they have enough passengers to make profit, improve services and operate on their own. But if they fix everthing how they will make money for themselves?

The top picture is 777-300ER. Bangladesh's dream completely brand new aircraft. Registration number S2-AFO. This one will be named "Palki".

And the bottom one is a leased 737-800. We have 2 of these aircraft in Biman's fleet.

Here are the list of all a/c in Bangladesh.

haha, i can write an essay on that.. !

Biman actually has to warn its passengers to not throw knives and forks in the toilet pan, tells you a lot about what some "earlier" passengers may have tried.

my favorite phrases on a Biman flight (that i have heard) include "uishkhi khamu", "ei maiyya, fani de", and the classic case of guy smoking under a blanket and then pretending he doesnt know whats going when caught by a crew member

This cracks me up...don't remember ever having heard Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh (CAAB) being referred to as বেবিচক.
