Only Ashraful is a bigga gangsta than him. No one in the team messes with Ashraful, NO ONE. Now whether that's a good thing or a bad thing (because he gets away with scoring strings of ducks) is a different story.
I finally figured out Ash's problem. No one can tell him anything! কিন্তু বলতে না পারলেও মাইর দিতে তো কোন সমস্যা নাই। উলটাপালটা শট খেলে আউট হলে ফেরা মাত্র বাকি সবাই মিলে রামপ্যাঁদানী! I think this will cure him......

In England toor he was only batsmen who made an impression in the FC matches against the county teams. All the school kids were buzzing around him and scrambling to get his autograph at the Lords practice facility. Heck I got one too and in the process someone stole my sunglass right under my nose. These kids were only interested in Mushy. Unfortunately, he wasn't that good in the test. The person he eventually replaced was the only notable batsman in that test.

Needs more exposure, hardwork, improvement to perform well against the big teams, as a top order batsman. Hope he does it.

Thanks! However, he was only 16 when he had the FC 1ton and a 1/2ton in the seaming early summer condition that visiting teams dread. Unfortunately, since then he has not improved as a batsman. He should have continued to play FC and A-team encounteres. I think he was drafted into the national team too early and, thereby, stunted his growth (no pun intended). It has happened with many of our young prospects. I think Ash was ot ready for captaincy and probably not even for induction into the national team. I hope they do not promote Field Marshal Ayub too soon.

Come on people, put your hands up for the little man and chit-chat anything and everything about Mohammad Mushfiqur Rahim !

i think his name is only Mushfiqur rahim, at least in the cricket world. anyway, his nickname given by parents is mitu (if i recall right)

I'll tell you what, those are some pathetic players we had back then. Talha Jubair? Anwar Hossain Monir? Good God. Glad to see the back of him.

If Bangladesh are keen on Mushfiqur opening, then Shakib or Ashraful needs to drop down to #5 or #6.

Other than Tamim, Mushfiqur, Shakib, and Ashraful are your best players. You can't have them all in the top 5. For arguments sake if Mushfiqur is to open, then team should be.

Tamim Iqbal
Mushfiqur Rahim(wk)
Mohammad Ashraful
Junuaid Siddique
Raqibul Hasan
Shakib al Hasan(c)
Mahmudullah
Naeem Islam
Mashrafe Mortaza
Mahbubul Alam
Syed Rasel

Decent enough team that.

He definitely has the potential to bat up the order,Mushy is easily one of the most techincally sound batsman in the team. Though I think he should be focusing more on his keeping.

Good job Mushy. He is starting to improve with the bat. But he needs to take some pills to get a little taller. Shortness works to his disadvantage.

I guess people remember all those catches he drops more than run he scores

But yeah, Mushfiq should be valued as a batsman.

Because there is something called the pool system, where one club can only have 3 players from the pool.

I think the main reason Mushfiq does not get a good team is no good keeper will want to play for the team that recruit Mushfiq, since he will be benched when Mushfiq plays. Teams need good keepers for every match, but Mushfiq can't play every match. Thus they compromise for some other keeper.

Anyway, as long Mushfiq gets offer from one of the top 6 teams, I see no reason to complain. Not everybody has to play for Abahani or Mohammedan.
