Cricket terminology (obscure, local & general words)

By the top post Siraji. We should really hear the commentators more instead of one line tchotchkes in match threads. Lol. If cricket has to evolve in the next generation then we need to strip it off the poetic jargons and give it a more formal, 'feel' stripped of psychological baggage and connotation. Yes one can always write in poetic form in reviews but for post-game analysis we need a more formal language whereby we can all relate to each other and just so that we are all on the same page.
