This quote is out of place

It is put earlier as a preview of what to come later.

Anyway - Excellent interview. I like the forward thinking positive tenor in Jamie's responses

Miraz ... Did JS give you any Juicy off the Record Comments?

Job Well done as usual, Jamie seems confident about the upcoming World Cup

Off the record comments will remain "off the record".

He is a different person now, much more confident and clearly knows what he is talking about!!

Yayyyyyyyyyy!! My question is there (though slightly edited by the skillful hands of Miraz bro but still...).............and the first quote in the inset is part of the answer to my question. ...........thanks Miraz bro, and the answers really gave a positive view of the mindset that JS has towards the current ongoings of BD cricket.

Disappointed that no direct questions on test status or improvement, indirectly asked about shortening test series by top teams but no matter what very good interview. Might rate the best I have read so far involving BC.

Siddons sounds like an emerging CEO of an international company - proud and confident.

Wow!, JS's angle on Ash is quite a revelation indeed. If this is the case, Ash has no one to blame but himself for his poor performance. I hope to see a couple of 50s in the ODIs and at lease a hundred in the 4 innings of Tests against India.

Loved his words about Ash...
Quote:
KMR: How frustrated are you because of the lack of maturity shown by some talented players like Ashraful who has the potential to be a world class batsman? Why have talented players like Ashraful, Shahadat and Aftab failed to convert their potential into success?
JS: Not long after I arrived, I realized that the team and the country were relying on Ashraful to perform miracles for us to win games. I was determined to put most of my energy into developing others so that Ashraful would not feel all that pressure and so we could win matches even if he did not fire! I can tell you very confidently that we are not just about Ashraful anymore. Keep an eye on Shakib, Roqibul, Mushfique, Riyad, and Tamim. They are the future. I hope Ashraful will get it right soon. He is a diamond in the rough for us.
We all have to accept that sometimes talented players just don't succeed. The reason they find it so hard at the international level is that they lack some of the basic skills that are developed in a well structured cricket development system.

I like this man, not because of recent success against hopeless zimabwe or second string WI. I like the way he talks about the game. thanks for the interview. i will be watching the games to look for improvements.

btw among all the players look like only Ash and Chokka have bit of issue regarding their space in the side.

Nice read and another excellent work Miraz bhai. Well done.
whenever i see you in BC, I always wonder where BC would have been without you?
Proud to have you here.

I liked it when JS said
Quote:

Surely he sounds more confident than ever on what he is doing.
