Bring Back Habibul Basher
I am not a fan of ICLers but an unshamed fan of Rafiq and HB. HB popularly known as Mr 50 start to score 50. I think he is only one beside Asif who have more than one fifty in current NCL. We are searching for a number 3. SN is not suited for that. He is a good player of spin no doubt. So ideally should bat before 4. But below 3 are occupied by Rock (I still have hope), Ash (selectors still have hope), Shaq, Mushy, Riyad and bowlers. Beside he proven back stabber. HB has the record to support him for batting at 3. So bring back HB and in the mean time let rock/ Big Z mature.

Thanks for the laughs. Habibul Bashar has a greater chance to get an IPL contract than to actually play in a test match. Keep dreaming dude.

Knee jerk thread. He can not do anything better than what we have. Good that the selectors have a level head on not picking players way past their prime.
HB as a guest speaker on local schools and colleges, I am all for it.

this year HaBa has not even scored a 100 against Alamgir-Kabir-Bowling yet and we have started bringing him back talking. to me the current group is not good enough yet but far far better than what we had before!

Dhuro, not Bashar, please ask Akram Khan to retire as a selector and come back to the team. No one other than him can save us from this situation

Considering his past records, ability to play at no 3 position in tests and current domestic performance; he is not a bad choice at all for a temporary period until we find somebody who is reliable in that position.

We have moved on from HB, Pilot era. There is no point going back, we have more enthusiastic and deserving player in Naeem.
Let's groom future players who can give service to Bangladesh for a longer period of time.

Obviously bringing back Bashar is not even in option. But Bashar at his prime was better than the whole current lot combined. He is still by far the most consistent test batsman we have had. That guy used to score consistently in the entire series not just one innings!

As long as we're not getting such a consistent run-scoring machine (compared to the rest of the BD batsman) to be termed as Mr. Fifty, everybody will remember Habibul Bashar.
In fact, because we have all seen what players like him could do in the past, we're criticizing our current crop of players for not having the patience or the standard to cope with this type of Indian attack.

Bring back Bashar, for what? For acting as a police guy to crowd control at the stadium?
