Hope he will not have a first week or night duck
The nice strategy of BCB will be to arrange Ash's marriage, and say good bye.

Not quite true, Rubu. Shobha seems to have had a good effect on Riyad.

I honestly wish Ashraful scored a duck on that debut test against SL that made him the youngest person on record to score a century.
That one stupid century brought him unlimited chances that other players deserved better.

I am surprised at your thought process. Why would anyone wish something bad for someone else? What harm has he done to you? I would have thought that Bangladeshis should feel proud that that one of theirs will always be remembered as the youngest player to score a test century on debut. What is wrong with you people? I doubt this record will be broken in Ash's lifetime, because i cannot see see any country playing a sixteen year old in a test match.
Also, even though his career is waning now, he has made BD win a few matches against G8 teams. Many fans here sympathize at his lack of form now, but there are a few who just hate him whether he performs or not. The world knows his name, Sakib, rightfully is making his name known now. Even in Canada, SL and WI, anyone asks"can you name any cricketer in the BD team?" The answer is Ashraful.
Chill out you guys. Give this guy a break and if he is kicked out eventually, then you can breathe a sigh of relief and be deliriously happy that your wish to kill his career came through.

We all were until that one century turned him into a irreplaceble hero who must be "selected" regardless how retarded he plays for the rest of his life.

Apa, no one is criticising that century. Its the most overrated century from the most overrated player in the world. The other day Tamim made 150 something and that will quickly be forgotten over time.

Exactly, he is tooo overrated. A guy like Sakib who is 10 times better with both bat and ball gets 1/10th of the fame this guy got.

Make no mistake I do like Ash as well, he is a good player just that he needs some fortune to be world class player like Tendulkar.

Your observation matches with what I heard from a person's dad who attended WI games ( the same guy name Jetu that AF met in WI). According to his dad, Jetu mentioned that Sakib was very friendly and accessable with the fans. He also mentioned not so nice thing about Ash and Tamim in that aspect.

it is his "not-caring attitude" which i find more disturbing than anything else. one excellent innings out of 42 innings is bad for Bangladesh cricket, not good. it spells Digression, not progression.
other people who are also failing are still part of their learning curve are still adjusting themselves to the pace of international Cricket or going through a bad patch. but people like Ashraful have no excuse for failure, he has been there long enough to know what his weaknesses are...and how he should appproach his batting!
after about ten years of playing international cricket, the most disturbing moment in his career would have to be IMO, the World Cup T20 dismissal against Ireland...that is something, will be very hard to forget, for any Bangladesh fan , it proves that this guy neither learns nor reflects upon his mistakes, or simply he doesn't care. he thinks it is a joke. this attitude will NEVER take Bangladesh to top 5....

no worries mate......Ash will have a EID in NZ and we will forget everything again!!

So the man who performs well only once or twice a year is getting a woman?
All kidding aside, I wish him a happy marriage. I don't have anything personal against him but I truly feel a drop is in the best interest of BD cricket as well as Ash's future as a cricketer.
