I just saw the TV footage. Absolutely ridiculous. He was just biting the ball like an apple.

This guy should be banned from cricket for good.

Pakistani fans are laughing it off calling it a "beastly" act. This is no less than his third offence of this kind, discounting the match fixing allegations. Plus he was captaining his team as well. Wonder what will happen to him? Will he get off again? Or most probably PCB will let him off with a slap in the wrist like Akhtar and Asif.

i don't think it's in the hand of PCB anymore!!

It happened in an international match, ICC will handle the case.

2 match ban. ICC seems softer than the PCB.

Are you kidding me? Then how shall we be entertained (with all the wrong reasons)?

Dancing on the pitch.
Shoaib-Asif-Afridi fiasco.
Ball biting.

All this and admitted his faults.

If anyone single handedly brought shame to any country then it is this joker.

"Live time bomb" that is what he is.

I don't get it. Fans still want him as a captain. I thought Ash fans are crazy but they don't even come close to these people.

That was disgraceful by Afridi... Now, when people suspect pakistanis of tampering with the ball, you can't really complain that they are not being fair.

He should lose the captaincy for something like this. But then again Pakistan cricket is run by PCB, which has no standards.

Thats what Pakistani senior players are teaching the younger players like Umar, Aamer, Sarfraj.
Learn Umar learn...how to cheat.

His latest statement: "Every team in the World tampers with the ball but I did not do it well and got caught"

So he is suggesting he will continue to do it but will find methods of concealing it.

It's their tradition. Inzi, Rashid Latif and Moin Khan taught the likes of Afridi and now it's his turn to pass his knowledge on to Aamir, Umar and co.

No wonder legends like Imran Khan, Wasim Akram and Abdul Qadir do not want to have any association with Pakistani cricket.

wow... that wasnt blatant at all....

right in the middle of the pitch with all the TV cameras watching your every move you bite the ball..... twice??
maybe every team tampers the ball one way or another.... but there are smarter ways of doing it
this is outright humiliating.....

I am very disappointed that Afridi got 2 matchs ban instead of 2 years ban.

LOL, first reaction of mine was just laughing like hell, cause he was biting the ball like a hungry python swallowing a rat after months of hunger

Still can't believe how he dared to do this in such a style while cameras are all over the field, and there were people call umpire were present in the field too, was he out of his mind, seriously !!

What I don't understand is, lots of people in Pak forums taking this lightly and keep repeating that its part of cricket. Someone even said that no apology is necessary. Real shame, maybe from now one they will stop mocking SL AND BD fan.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocgrjx6IirY

When Afridi started to play for Pak there was lots of talk about his real age. He looked like he 20, but he claimed he is only 15, maybe he wanted to play for u19.
