Just name one player?! No problem - Uttam Sarkar, he has replaced JO as the opener for Dhaka team.

Dollar Mahmud......
If my boy Dollar Mahmud dropped a dollar for every ball JO plated, he would be a millionaire by now.

me, when i was 3.
but seriously, is JO that much worse than anyone other than tamim who they have tried since dropping him? maybe talent wise but in terms of contributing to the team i don't think JO is so bad to the guys they've tried since him. plus his ODI average is pretty close to ashraful's. JO ODI average = 23.85, ash ODI average = 23.97.

As far as grit and determination goes NO ONE. Not a single player is better than JO ... What's the point of having so much so called ability if you don't deliver? The only reason JO is not in the team is because he doesn't fit in the future plans of the coach and the management. We all know he would have been a lot more consistent than a lot of the current lot in the test arena. He will throw his wicket away 1 time out of 10. On an average I would say our players throw wickets away 7 times out of 10 in tests. rarely do you need a good ball to get us out. We get ourselves out well before that. Always have lots of respect for JO and what he has done for our cricket.

No one. He is the king of BD cricket, the legend. The absolute finest. The only player who comes close to Javed Omar would be Ehsanul Haque. That too with his deadly bowling and mind blasting batting put together.

I can name a whole series of player better "than" Javed Omar, but can't name one better "then" Javed Omar. You are so right about this: I can't name one player better "then" Javed Omar.
