When our batting, bowling, and fielding are below international standard, how can we expect keeping to be standard?

Because we had Standard, in Khaled Mashud Pilot still the best WK batsman of the sub-continent history, with such a short span of BD International Cricketing duration, he was able to make his mark.

today mushfique shoed what he is made of.

i think he should bat at no 4 for BD.

coz he can stabilize a innings, can block balls, can take singles, can accelarate late with good hits

Mushfiq should play purely as a batsman and give his gloves to someone else. I am sure a new wicketkepper like Mithun/Dhiman/Shahgir won't do much worse than what our star players in the top order are doing.

any questions i had about mushy as a one-day batsmen were answered today, definitely should be in the ODI team even if it's only as a batsman, i'd be much more comfortable having mushy in my middle order than the likes of ash, aftab, raqibul and even shakib at current. give mithun or dhiman the gloves and bat them at 8.

For that to happen, Siddons will need to push Mushfiq up the order and let the new wicket keeper bat at #6/#7/#8. But we all know Siddons won't promote Mushfiq even if his life depended on it.

strange though, mushy is supposed to be his golden boy, where's the faith siddons? give mushy the chance up the order, and while you're at it give riyad and naeem a chance as well.

MUshy is one of the player in the team who still has some brains... our top order cannot compete with him in this category.

I've always been an admirer of the heart Mushy shows and the effort he puts in. But today still doesn't change the fact that he is not a qualified Keeper and the gloves should go to someone else.

His batting today was not his norm and a couple of more innings without huge gaps in between a la you know who like this and I will stand corrected about him not being a candidate as a pure batsman in the limited format.

Still the question remains, if you drop the gloves from him and keep him as a batsman who do you give the axe to? Tamim, Riad and Naeem is a big no. Shakib makes the team as a bowler and captain despite his horrid batting form. We've all seen that Ash is untouchable. That only leaves the Raqibul/Aftab/SN spot I guess. Now with the exception of this one innings do you belive he is the answer.

For last two years...

Juniad played bad, he get dropped...
Imrul played bad he get dropped....
Nazmul played bad, he get dropped...
Shahadat played bad, he get dropped...
Riyad played bad, he get dropped.....
Rahim played bad, he get dropped....
Aftab played bad, get get dropped....
Dollar played bad, he get dropped....
Mehrab played bad, he get dropped....
Rakibul played bad, he get dropped....
Razzak played bad, he get dropped...
Rasel played bad, he get dropped....
Enamul played bad, he get dropped....

But one person continue to play bad but somehow continue to play...

The person who need a Royal kick in the as$ is not Rahim but Ashrafool....


Its over due.....first think first....first do that .....then talk about who else need a kick later....
