Default Can the icc take away their test status by the end of the year?

I was just wondering if the performances continues to be lacklustre, can icc come in and just freeze their their test status, well they can concentrate more on the 50 over format in time for the world cup next,i'm thinking redemption time for the bangladeshis cricketers

All these test thread would be useless once we beat England.

By beating ENG in a test, Bangladesh will become Ashraful where we will be cemented for life by only performing once over periods of long time.

Here's my take and you can figure out my vote from there. ODI performances should not be the driving factor for Test status. I don't care much for the current bi lateral test format to begin with. As long as BD is playing I follow and support them. For cricket to expand, no country should be stripped of a status once achieved. That goes for associates getting ODI status as well.

We're performing reasonably well at home for last couple of years. It's the away part which seems to go to dogs most of the time.

come on just be nuetral, what did happened with zimbabwe?
i'm talking about the disgrace that they gave onto the country in the last test series versus india, giving india the game on both occassions, seems to me that these guys are not serious about international cricket, just giving their opponents gifts like it's their birthdays, come on grow up bangladesh, you guys need to stamp your authorities on to the world stage, inspiration is what you need and very very plenty dedication,i still believe that you can beat any team, but what is needed is consistency of the very highest standard, just believe in yourselves, this is the year of the revival, you guys are the sleeping giants of world cricket, you need to wake up and start doing action,a guyanese proverbne man nah play cricket ,is really a team of 11 players ,many hands make work lighter,i'm talking about all formats of the game

No. Bangladesh won 2 tests vs WI in 2009. Previous to that I believe they had one win since 2000. This could keep them in test cricket for at least 8 years, unless they lose something like every test in a year by an innings.

BD should retire from Test cricket for a time being and focus more on ODI.
When we have very good domestic infrastructure, we should come back to Test cricket to save us from continueous humiliation and frustration.

the really frustrating thing about the bangladesh team is the players don't perform to their potential. you can sense that they are capable of much more but rarely see it. application is simply not there.

it's obvious that the doemstics are not rigorous enough to harden the players for the international level. I can think of one reason, there are currently 6 teams in NCL but the nascent cricket scene in BD can't produce enough quality cricketers for all 6 -- the result is a general lowering of standard at the first class level. one way to improve the situation will be to start another tournament with only 3 teams, combining the best players from NCL and get them to play a league that would be much more competitive.

in addition, BCB should allow and probably even provide funds to add one foreign batsman or bowler (but not both) for each team.

another reason(s) why ICC shouldn't take away Bangladesh's test status:

1. It will halt the development of Cricket in other emerging soon to be test playing nations(maybe) like Ireland, Kenya, Afghanistan to name a potential few.

2. Bangladeshi Crowd is the future of Audience Cricket. they will miss out on a huge opportunity to cash in...

Now, if the ICC takes away Test cricket from BD, then they will have to think about taking it away from the WI and Pakistan. This will not happen, but i reckon that BD will not play more than 4 Test matches per year which is a shame, because this is not enough.
The two teams who will play the most test matches are Australia and England, maybe a whopping 12 in a year. West Indies and Pakistan will also suffer.
I feel that BCB should arrange for BD to play more first class 4 days matches against top Associate teams, or invite the A teams from other countries to play.
