Default " Play Your Natural Game"

Siddons= "play your natural game"

http://www.cricinfo.com/nzvbdesh2010...ch/423783.html

This coach believes in play your natural game than a game plan. I'm damn sure Chacha(shujon) would do much better job as a head coach.

To Siddons: This is Bangladesh! Don't import your Ausralian ideas. PLZZZ!

Bd players have no temperments.Their shot selections are poor. Some batsmans also have footwork problems. Playing natural game can suit with teams like Australia/South Africa/India. They don't have basic problems. Instead of development and play according to match situation, JS is trying other things. JS still doesn't get the core problems of BD team. He still can't fix Ashraful's batting problems.No doubt, Ashraful can play any shot. But it's the temperment/shot selection that Ashraful lacks. Sometimes JS advices Ashraful to play defensive. Now Ashraful plays so defensive that he looks for good delivery to put away for fours/sixes. He plays defensive against bad bowling. When JS advices Ashraful to play attacking, then Ashraful ends up with a suicide shot. Tamim is the one who can score 50's evertime, but he can't make it to a big innings because of temperment. Junayed/Imrul got footwork problems. Rakib plays loose shot all the time. That's why he is having a bad form. Shakib got temperment problem. Instead of fixing those problems, JS advices players to play their natural game. Sigh! Big Sigh!

Clearly what I said went way over your head. I wasn't argueing about the main topic or the effectiveness of Siddons. Google is your best friend.

one has to play natural gaem, but also has to asses the situation and be responsible. it does not need a coach to help u analyze the situation. every player and even non-players who understand some cricket understands whats the demand of a situation and whats a players responsibilty

playing your natural game and actually doing it are two different things...I wud advice the players the same....do not try to be someone else thinking you can skip the hard work in the middle and be able to play like them...its not possible guys...believe me I have tried it...playing your natural game is doing that hard work....

Well to be fair, our players don't really know what their natural game is. They are not aware of their capabilities or limitations. Just look at Ashraful- still clueless after 10 years of international cricket.... The only player who has found out his natural game is Riyad- because after being dropped, he went back to the nets and really worked on his own batting and figured out his limitations. The others who are getting there are Mushfiq and Shakib. Unfortunately, Tamim has started to think that he is Sehwag. And poor Rokibul has forgotten his natural game after playing all those T20s- someone please show him his batting clips from Asia cup!!

What Tamim did wasn't his natural game. It was his madness to go after the bowler and show that he is the MAN!
