its not surprising, we beat WI in t20 match. WI are one the fall. and the pitches in WI are in bad conditions. with almost no care taken of the pitches are getting low and slow and turny

One very happy Zimbabwean today
Good win to start of the tour now hopefully we can win a couple of ODI's and look forward to a test series in Bangladesh next year.
Cremer was fantastic a real star developing there, but the batting needs a lot of work!!

Congrats!! Zim did the right thing by not picking any fast bowlers. Way to go!!! Now I wish they can build on this.

Yeah definitely BCB should come and get him. We would win a lot more matches.

Just seen the highlights. Commentator thought they would get a free-hit off a wide lol. I have to say Zimbabwe dropped some right sitters in the match. But I'm very surprised by the response from the windies. They still had 3 wickets left so you would've thought that they would've at least taken a few more risks. I bet they can't wait for Gayle and Sarwan to come back.

This looks like a resurgent Zimbabwe side. They've got a few former players coming back and helping with the coaching and they've got some decent spinners. Hopefully they can get back to the force they once were.

It's was Cozier. He was so stunned by WI performance that he forgot the name of Sir Gary Sobers while saying about the possibility of a victory just before the last over.

I think they got 5 ODIs because no test matches are being played.
Hope that Zim shows the world that they are coming back very strongly and they are no walk over for any team. I feel that they have the grit and motivation.
Wish them all the luck to win a few matches.

Both teams got long losing streaks leading to the series (including defeats against us). It will be interesting to see who does better.
Rooting for Zimbabwe.

Another blasphemic team selection by WI. No wonder if they lose badly.

Not at all surprising that Zimbabwe did great in the T20I. They've revamped their domestic T20 league and that's bearing fruit. I expect them to do well in the ODIs also. Windies, toothless without Edwards/Taylor/Powell/Lawson, cannot depend on their batting alone especially when everyone other than Chandu and Sarwan has issues with slow bowling. Not sure how much Roach, Sammy and Benn can do against Masakadza, Sibanda and Chigumbura in full flow.
ZIM 22-0/8

missing the off stump and given lbw to remove masakadza the danger man. Poor umpiring by the local.
Simon also missed one in favor of WI. so I guess it evens out.

whats happening with Umpire these days ? arent they paid enough to concentrate more and give good judgement ? If this kind of poor decision continues then its not too far when UDRS will be used to give every LBW decision.

The pitch looks like a turning pitch with Nikita getting lots of turn. Zim may pull this off if they can post 220ish. 83/1 23rd over.

Tiabu opens up takes 18 off Nikita's 7th over. Impressive. Shakib like beating.

What fielding WI is putting up. over throws, caught on a no ball above the waiste high and throwing it back while batsmen taking 3 runs.
Zim 128/1 31 overs. Sibanda approaching 50. 49* (111) Looks like Imrul was faster.
31.6
| Roach to Sibanda, no run, full this time and Sibanda punches it confidently off the front foot, but dead straight to short cover. No run
| 31.5
| Roach to Sibanda, no run, shortens the length and Sibanda looks to pinch a single on the offside, but it goes straight to point
| 31.4
| Roach to Sibanda, no run, and he very nearly falls for 49. Beaten outside off yet again by Roach, but somehow escapes edging it.

Around 3 years back asked to give Taibu a citizenship.
he would have been the perfect #3. approaching 50 with better than run a ball.
Zim should take powerplay right after he makes 50. Both players at 50+ perfect opportunity. 35th over going on.
