Nayeem is not there instead Aftab made it.

Though Aftab thinks he should practice more and come back again to the national team, but the selectors thinks otherwise. The player is not confident but the selectors are

Yeah, not only Aftab, Junaid also made it with his poor form.
Only reason can be, selectors are tagging Nayeem as a ODI specialist which is totally wrong.

Yeah, obviously the combination should be this - with 3 SLA.

The believe that the selectors are showing towards Aftab, I will not be surprised if he makes the first XI instead of Junaid.

14 man squad, so for the final XI 2 players will be dropped

the probabilities are.....

1. one pacer from the 3
2. one SLA from razzaq and enamul
3. one batsman from aftab, junaed, naeem, imrul

I'd play all 3 pacers, and both spinners.

The team will get worse if management decides to go with 2 SLA and play both Aftab and Junaid. It will be a negative approach and can cost us.

Leave out Shahadat/Rubel and Aftab/Junaid from the final XI.

stupid selection with inclusion of Aftab and Razzak and Enamul. Why not Shuruwardi Shuvo? I am sure Shuvo would do better than Enamul and Razzak in the test. Razzak cannot take wickets in the tests and Enamul cannot take wickets in NCL. If not Shuvo, give a chance to someone else who is doing well in domestic cricket. What about Naeem? Give him some chances to play test. He may be a part time bowler, but he is a full time proven batsman. He is way better batsman than both Aftab and Imrul together. I don't like the inlcusion of Imrul with his first class record. Total stupid selection by bone heads.

Why the hell they have selected 4 spinner's and 3 fast bowlers, they have filled the team with bowlers instead of batsman. They could have accommodated Naeem and Ashraful instead of Enamul and Rubel considering the fact that BD wicket's are spinner friendly and can have SAKIB,RAZZAQ,NAEEM,MAHMOUDULLAH all four at a time in the first match. This Riafiq the selector if I am not mistaken is the same guy who used to be friendly with Saad in the 80's and they both played for different team but never had good cricketing brain particularly Rafiq and still it shows.

Here is the stats of Enamul Jr. in his last first class against Dhaka
13.5 overs, 40 runs, 0 wickets
In his last List A/ODI against Zimbabwee (yes Zimbabwee)
10 overs, 41 runs, 0 wickets.
yes in his last first class and List A matches, he got 0+0=0 wickets, and we want him to take lots of wicket against Englahd?? This is crazy and hillarious! What a joke!!

The team selection was as predicted. I guess except for couple of positions, playing XI is almost settled:

01. Tamim Iqbal
02. Imrul Kayes
03.
04. Raqibul Hasan
05. Shakib Al Hasan (capt)
06. Mushfiqur Rahim (wk)
07. Mahmudullah
08.
09.
10. Shafiul Islam
11.

For # 03: Junaid Siddique or Aftab Ahmed (2 compete for 1 slot)
For # 08 and 09: Naeem Islam, Abdur Razzak or Enamul Haque Jr (3 compete for 2 slot)
For # 11: Rubel Hossain or Shahadat Hossain (2 compete for 1 slot)

Someone has to teach KP how to score runs against SLAs, why not an off-form player like Enam?

Enam prob should be left out along with Rubel. Aftab should stay if he thinks he can handle it. Scoring 46 without even believing yourself is not bad. Junaed scored a fifty (and was in a massive opening partnership) in the last home series. Then again, its two out of form/confidence players in Aftab and Junaed, plus a batsman lacking in technique with lots of courage ( Raqibul).

Razzak's test stats in bowling:
5 matches, 561 runs, 7 wickets, average: 80.14 (that is 80.14 average). Can anyone explain why Razzak, all of a sudden becomes good at test and start to take lots of wicket? totally moranic selection.
