Since both of them are not that good with the ball ...I go for Ashraful as a batsmen. I have always liked the confidence with which he goes to bat.

Do they bat on the same slot? I think Ashraful bats ahead of kapali.

I used to think Kapali is better batsman than Ash.
Now I am begining to wonder, if I was wrong.

Yes Navarene, you are right. Ashraful comes before Kapali.

Alok's been in horrendous form for so long now that I'm beginning to wonder whether he ought to be dropped from the squad entirely for a while. Maybe he should join the A team, and play in as many league matches as possible. He needs some special attention just like Ash. He obviously has the talent, but that isn't being translated into performance on the field. It is considerable cause for worry, because he should be one of the few bright sparks in our team. At this point, we only need in-form players, and he ain't one of 'em.

For whatever I heard, they are probably the two most gifted batsmen in our team. I would love to see both of them in form. That said, my favorite is Ash. But for their performances until today...........Ash in tests and Kapali in One-dayers.

well i got alok as a batsman. but i have to say, that was a tough decision.
but i am pretty sure that their talent won't be lost, at least not with whatmore around. srilanka had a lot of talents since the beginning, but they were being fruitful after whatmore's arrival.
what i'm saying in plain english:
we WILL bring the whuppin within 5 years
or in plain bangla:
 khabor ache kintu
