He wasn't that old. What happened?

This is very sad. The guy was an entertainer and I'm not being the least bit sarcastic when I say that. May he rest in peace.

ইন্না লিল্লাহে ওয়া ইন্না ইলাইহে রাজিউন...this is indeed the saddest news I heard today, Khoda Bakhsh Mridha bhai was indeed a true Bengali sport/soccer/cricket commentary icon/legend and he will be highly missed! He was a true gentleman and a genuine gentle being

Man, I am very broken right now and all I can think is to pray to Allah the Almighty for his loving family and for their strength. May Allah rest dear Mridha bhai's soul in peace and send him to Jannat-Ul-Ferdaus. May Allah keep our dearest Mridha bhai's kind, loving, peaceful soul next to him for eternity.

Thank you majic bhaiya for letting us know this news... dear majic bhai and mod bhais, kindly see if you can move this thread to Bangladesh Cricket section.

Khoda Bakhsh Mridha bhai's death is a national loss for us.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un

This was shocking to the core. A friend of mine updated his fb status with this, and I only thought it had sth to do with the ongoing PCL commentary in ATN....

Needless to say, he will be missed by every Bangladeshi cricket fan... atleast the ones who started following our cricket over the radio....

Praying for the departed soul.... InshAllah...

p.s: we should get his name right for one last time, I think its Khoda Bakhsh Mridha....

Yes I agree with you. Since he himself also was a sportsman and later a sports commentator, this thread should had been placed into sport section rather than forget cricket. (dhonnobad BK bhaia)

Is it verified though??? I don't think a facebook group should be a reference good enough to post such thing without verification. (btw no hate magic boy..)

If it is true, I am deeply sorry to hear the news. Haven't heard him but his famous "joyodhoni kor" phrase will reverberate down generation affectionately. He had passion in him in cricket and THAT is what is important.

Hope this news is not true.

Thanks Asif bhai for the correction. And I think I confused him with Chowdhury Jafarullah Sharafat. At any rate, may his soul rest in peace.
