If they apply themselves in this mickey mouse game then all would be losers (in England).

For a change, Barisal seams to be the strongest one this time around.

Rony Talukder
Nazimuddin
Shahriar Nafees*
Rokibul Hasan
Mahmudul Hasan
Shabbir Rahman
Ziaur Rahman
Sahagir Hossain+
Arafat Sunny
Syed Rasel
Shuvashish Roy

^Pretty hard to mess with that XI. But I hope Dhaka wins.

Cyclones batting looks strong (more so if they can add Imran Nazir), bowling not so much. Also, they don't have a regular keeper, and that may turn out to be costly for them.

This may be their best playing XI-

Tamim Iqbal
Uttam Sarkar
Aftab Ahmed
Nafees Iqbal
Marshall Ayub
Nasir Hossain
Faisal Hossain
Sharifullah
Enamul Haque
Talha Jubair
Kamrul Islam

Middle order very shaky it seems not good for T20 cricket. After Zia there is no excellerated batting as well. A foreign player or two is needed.

I reckon you have not seen Mahmudul Hasan or Sabbir Rahman batting. Raqibul also showed in the last DPL that he can be a hard hitter when required.

Acceleration in batting after Zia? If I remember correctly, Arafat Sunny played in couple of six-a-side tournys in Thailand.

I would pick Shuvogoto Hom instead of Nafis Iqbal.

Also Tamim said Shoib Akhter will play for them.(thedailystar)

A top order of Rony, Nazim and SN should give them great starts consistently and then you have Rokib and Mahmud who are very solid and can consolidate if the top order misfires. Mahmud can be aggressive when needed and Rokib's slogging should be good enough for this level. Then they have Shabbir and Zia, two of the hardest hitters in the country. Just to be insured I'd bring in a foreign middle-order batsman, maybe Malik if possible and I think they need a hard-hitting wicket-keeper as Sahagir sucks in T20, Humayun Farhat, Sarfraz Ahmed or Deep Dasgupta tick that box.

Shuvagoto is with Rajshahi, not Chittagong.

Shoaib Akhtar has been told to participate in a Pakistani domestic league, I doubt PCB will give him NOC for this tourny.

Sorry, my bad.

anyway, i think we should bring some seamers from Aus, SA or Eng to see how our players cope with extra bounce and pace. any though?

That would be a good idea, but there is not much time left to bring in foreign players, unless teams are already in contacts with prospective players.

With Pentagular Cup starting soon, PCB may not allow Pakistan players (barring likes of Rashid Hanif and Humayun Farhat) to participate in this league anyway.

Deep Das scored 7 runs in 28 balls in the match against Pirates and his team ended up losing by 3 runs. Saghir can't be that bad.

I would be interested in spinners from that Kolkata team though, as well in Ranadeb Bose.

ahhh...ranadeb bose.

he was tipped the next speed star of india by the folk of kolkata. but then he got lost after almost being selected. then ashok dinda became the next sensation.

though i thought ranadeb was the better bowler.

Voted for Dynamites.
But would also love to see Kings or Blazers winning it.
