Life in the Olympic Village sounds like spring break.

And on it went for eight days as scores of Olympians, male and female, trickled into the shooter's house -- and that's what everyone called it, Shooters' House -- at all hours, stopping by an Oakley duffel bag overflowing with condoms procured from the village's helpful medical clinic. After a while, it dawned on Lakatos: "I'm running a friggin' brothel in the Olympic Village! I've never witnessed so much debauchery in my entire life."

Here is a relevant article and hopefully something that'll give people a bit of perspective....

I don't know how to quote only one line - so my apologies..
The term 'medical staff' includes everyone who is looking after the patients, and in most cases than not doctors and nurses do NOT take blood pressure or the other routine obs in the hospitals. Its usually the HCAs that do this and on numerous occasions i have seen them record the obs without a second thought and they do not recognise an 'abnormal' result or think to tell someone..
Bangladesh health care is disgusting, unless you personally know doctors. That article is just sad. My Mejho Mama recently ( may this yr) died of a heart attack and the hospital he was taken to in Pabna before going to Dhaka, did not even give him oxygen. I thought it was commom sense, obviously a heart attack patient requires oxygen which they did not give. Unfortunately mama received oxygen 2 hours later ( really late, but then again, better late than never)from another hospital, and that was only because Abbu called to know how he was being taken to Dhaka. It was just those mistakes made along the way, which should not have occured in the first place, which took his life. Otherwise, there's no way a 46 year old should die.
And then on top of that, when he was taken to Dhaka, he had another heart attack and the nurses were asking Mama about his family history! My Khala ( doctor) and mamas and other family members wwere there who could've answered those question, but they decided to ask someone who's having a heart attack?
I guess what's done is done. Mama is not going to return, but those mistakes made, I'm not sure whether they can be excused.
